Beth's POV
I walk back over to Octavia after a few minutes and see her standing next to her brother as he asks Wells. "We're on the ground, that no good enough for you?"
"We need to find Mount Weather. You heard my fathers message, that has to be our first priority." Wells explains.
"Screw your father." Octavia says. "What, you think you're in charge here, you and your little princess?" Octavia asks him, gesturing to Clarke.
"Do you think we care about who is in charge? We need to get to Mount Weather not because the Chancellor said so, but because the longer we wait, the hungrier we'll get and the harder this'll be. How long do you think we'll last without those supplies? We're looking at a twenty-mile trek, okay? So if we want to get there before dark, we have to go now." Clarke explains. She has a point. The longer we wait the more hungrier we will all get.
"I've got a better idea. You two go, find it for us. Let the privileged do the hard work for a change?" Bellamy says to them. Delinquents around them agree. Privileged, so me also? Damn, not looking forward to this trek.
"You're not listening, we all need to go." Wells says.
John Murphy, a total asshole, comes up behind him and pushes him. "Look at this everybody... Chancellor of Earth." H says.
"Shut the hell up Murphy." I say to him rolling my eyes at his kid likeness.
He looks at me. "Oh, great. The princess of the Ark. Surprised your dad sent you down here. Especially if they were expecting us to die." Murphy says.
I go to take a step forward but Octavia grabs my arm and right when Murphy goes to come at me, someone drops down from the drop ship roof. "She's a girl. You really gonna hit her?" A familiar voice asks him. Murphy scoffs and walks away. Finn turns towards me. "Finn!" I rush up to him and hug him, he spins me around for a second before putting me down.
"Hey Beth." He says.
"I missed you." I mutter.
"I missed you too." He replies. The whole group of delinquents soon walk away, not caring about the scene going on anymore.
"Hey spacewalker, rescue me next." Octavia says with a smirk.
Bellamy gives her a look. "What? He's cute." She says to him, causing me to smile a bit.
"He's a criminal." Bellamy says.
"We're all criminals." I say to Bellamy with a wink. He glares at me, then Octavia walks over to Finn, Clarke, Wells and two others. I follow, walking next to her.
"Sounds like a party, make it 6." O says and I nod agreeing.
"What the hell are you doing?" Bellamy asks his little sister.
"Going for a walk." She says as it's the most obvious thing ever. I smirk at her.
"Hey, were you trying to take this off?" Clarke asks holding Finns wrist, looking at the metal cuff that now had scratch marks on it.
"Yeah. So?" Finn asks.
"So this wristband transmits your vital signs to the Ark. Take if off and they'll think your dead." Clarke explains to him. I look down at my bracelet, sighing.
"Should I care?" Finn asks.
"Well I don't know. Do you want the people you love to think you're dead? Do you want them to follow you in two months? Because they won't if they think we're dying." Clarke tells him. He looks at me and I give him a look. He nods slightly, knowing why I gave him the look I did.
"Okay." He says.
"Now let's go." Clarke says and walks off.
Octavia gives Bellamy a look, watching the group walk a head of us. "Go on." He says to her. She kisses his cheek.
"I'll watch her." I say to him and he gives me a small nod then Octavia comes up to me and grabs my arm, pulling me with her to catch up with Clarke.
"Before you get any ideas, Finns mine." O says to Clarke.
"Before you get any ideas, I don't care." I smirk at Clarke, then continue to walk with Octavia. Oh, just wait till they both realize Finns neither of theirs. He has a girlfriend up on the Ark, my girl best friend Raven.
I smile at Octavia as we continue to walk through the new land.
Hey! Another chapter done. Yay! So what do you all think so far? How do you guys like Beth? Please comment. Thanks for reading. Bye.
