~Chapter 7~
At first, Austin flashed into my mind, and I could feel my smile falling, "What...?"
Cameron grinned lightly and tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear, "Let's just say.... I took care of things."
Giving him a questioning look, my thoughts zipped in a wild frenzy. What is he talking about? Who died?! And why was Austin the first person to pop into my mind? And why is my heart so heavy, even aching, right now??
"Anyways..." Cameron looked at me a moment longer, seeming to take in everything about my facial expression before dropping his hand and straightening up, "I--"
There was a sudden explosion of blinding bright light, causing me to take a few steps back with my rough hands covering my eyes.
"Awwwwwww, Candy, he's gone again!"
Pulling my hands cautiously away, I sighed. Cameron still hadn't mastered his power of teleporting yet? "Well, that was a useful visit."
Violet looked over at me from the windowsill, wiggling her ghostly eyebrows, "You can't deny that he's gotten even hotter and more kawai, yeah?"
".....a little....." My cheeks flared pink at the thought of Cameron's eyes sweeping over my body. Did he.... like what he saw?
Violet sighed loudly, dramatically draping herself over the window ledge, "I've lost my love yet again, even in this life!"
A laugh escaped my lips before I could think, causing me to giggle even harder at her pretend glare, "Mhm, sure Vi. Tell me how that works out for you."
She mock rolled her purple eyes, then sat up and hovered over to me, giving me a concern look, "What did he mean, Candy?"
I shook my head, wiping the tears from my eyes, "I don't know." But inside, I felt a sudden stab of pain. And I had a feeling...
My time is swiftly arriving.
