The frost upon the window pane mesmerized Candy as she stared outside at the falling flakes of snow; gentle, soothing. The world was one heck of a snow globe, and she loved that.
"Candy? Candy, are you listening to me?"
She snapped her head towards the front and smiled nervously at the teacher, "Of course I was." She pushed her cracked frames up, "The answer is..." Blah blah blah blah.
Close call.

"After all, you were destined to die."
"But, why would you--"
"Shut up," he snapped, pressing the blade firmer to her neck, a bit of blood snaking its way down her throat, a smirk of pleasure on his lips. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Didn't you know? You're the f--"
~"Pssssst. Yo, Candy."
She lifted her head sleepily from her desk, glaring at the caramel brown eyed boy beside her.
Brian shrugged and motioned towards the front of the History classroom, where the teacher stood, arms crossed and with a not very happy expression, drumming her fingers on her elbow. "Well, Miss Rose?"
"Looks like you're screwed," Brian muttered, trying hard not to laugh as Candy stumbled over her words, cheeks aflame, "Y-yes, Mrs. Carson?"
"....you've been volunteered to show Mr. Austin Grace around."
Candy's eyes widened as they landed on the boy up front.
NO. Oh, HECK NO.
