"OK Lilith, please have a seat here and Anthony you can sit right beside her" I said as I motioned towards the chairs at my work station.

"Please tell me in details what happened and how you were  feeling then and now" I said to them. I need to get an understanding of what's wʀѳɳg, so I can make a proper diagnosis. I have an idea what's wrong, dependent on how Sandy described the symptoms, but I need to be sure.

"Oh well I felt really tired and I couldn't taste anything I ate" Lilith replied.

"She also had problems walking and complained of joint pains" Anthony said.

"Ok, and how are you feeling now?" I asked.

"Well since daddy has been giving me some soup and fluids I have been feeling a lot better, but I still feel pain sometimes"

"She is doing a lot better from when we called but, she still complains for her joints, and that worries me"

Their description can mean only one thing.

"From what I'm hearing, your daughter has what we call Chick V. Its a disease that's transfered by mosquitoes. It causes weakness, joint pains, fatigue, lack of appetite and no sense of taste among other things. Good thing is, you caught it early and applied methods to counteract it. Please continue giving her the fluids, do not let her overexert herself and I am going to prescribe some children's panadol for the pain and fatigue"

"My God, it sounds like it could have gone a worse way, but thanks for the information and I will definitely follow your instructions" Anthony replied.

"No problem, and Lilith remember if you feel different or you feel like your getting worse and not better don't be afraid to tell daddy OK sweety"

"Yes Ms Catherine"

All the time I was talking to Lilith I could feel his eyes on me observing. What is he thinking, I would love to know.

"Catherine is it OK to ask you out on a date?" He asked while packing his daughters things away.

"Its a normal question to ask, however I feel its inappropriate with your daughter being my patient" I said while handing him the prescription.

"But I nor my daughter is a regular just walk in clients. I think its safe enough".

Good point. What do I say now?

"All right tell you what, I am going to leave my number with you and when you change your mind call me. I won't be leaving until the next two weeks"

"Ok I'll think about it"

"That's all I ask" he says as he and Lilith gets up to leave.

"Do you believe in soulmates, Catherine? Someone who was designed exactly for you and only for you" he asked.

"I used to but now not so much" I replied

I know what I said peeked his intetest, I could see the glimmer in his eyes. Another fuckboy pretending to be nice or just amt overall good guy, or a mix of both. I really can't analyze him. I'm not sure. Many have tried breaking me, getting behind my walls and have failed. My guard is strong.

As they wave goodbye to me I hear him say something about mates under his breath or maybe not. Probably I'm hearing things. But the look in his eyes tells me one thing. Whatever is happening between us is definitely not over.
