my eyes burned from the sight of light that shined from my dining room table. the familiar environment comforted me, but not long before i heard a gun shot coming from the family room. i raced towards the family room, until my eyes saw a small child crouching on the top of my old staircase. as i looked closer, the child resembled myself at a young age. her eyes were filled with tears and horror, these eyes lead me towards the gun shot i previously heard from the dining room. my father, that was now laying in a pool of his own blood, laid on the floor with a gun held in his hand. my mother, kneeling towards her husband's body with tears running down her cheeks, trembled with every breath she took.

"mommy" the small girl spoke.
my mother's eyes drew from the body towards the staircase. she jumped from the floor and to the steps.

"florence, honey, you were supposed to be sleeping." she replied in between tears. my mother quickly picked her up into her arms, sheilding her away from her dead father.

i walked closer to the staircase to get a better look, walking to the front door. as i did, there was a pound at the door, my mom's eyes shot directly to me. i realised she was looking behind me, her bloodshot eyes blicked once until yelling a 'one moment please'. i followed her up the stairs, towards my room down the hallway. she laid the little girl in her bed, tucking her in swiftly.

"mommy, why did daddy have a gun and why is he on the ground? i dont like to see you crying. is daddy okay?" the child asked, tears brimming her eyes once again.

"it's going to be okay, darling. now go to sleep and dont open this door after i close it." my mother commands, before kissing the child's forehead and slipping out of her room.
i look into the child's eyes again, it seemed she wouldnt be going to bed anytime soon with that fear that covered her eyes. there was another pound at the door and someone yelling after. the little girl brought the covers up to her cheeks, squeezing her eyes closed. as i walked to the door, the yelling became louder than before. i cracked the door open to get a better look. two tall man in black stood too close to my mom. one grabbed her, as she screamed. i heard a creek from the corner of the child's room to see the girl running towards the door i cracked open. she looked out, her eyes almost popping out from hearing the cry from her mother.

"mommy! mommy no!" she cried, opening the door wider. the girl pushed her small legs across the carpet towards the staircase. the two men looked up to see the child running to rescue her mother.

"florence, go back to bed, now." my mom cried with pleading eyes.

one man chuckled,
"i didnt know rob had a daughter."

"just go grab her and ill take care of claire here." the shorter man replied.
my mom elbowed the shorter one, running up the stairs and grabbing the girl before the man did. i watched them enter the child's room i was in, my mom locking the door quickly. pounding and yelling echoed off the wooden door. my mom scrambled towards one of the windows, opening it and climbing out. they were up two stories. next thing i knew, i lunged at the window, watching them sit in the window sill. the child whispered 'florence' as my mom repeated the action. the sound of wood breaking was heard the two men rushed in, yelling 'florence' as well. my vision became blurry and the ground begun to shake. they all started yelling and yelling my name...

"florence!" i heard a loud yell come from downstairs. my eyes shot open, tears ran down my cheeks. i heard loud footsteps walk up the stairs and down the small hallway. seconds later, harry practically burst through my door, a worried look on his face.

"are you okay? i heard you scream from downstairs." he said, walking towards my bed.

my eyelids fluttered closed. "i had a dream." i replied, turning my head away from him so he couldnt see my tears. i felt his now gentle hands pull me from my mattress, wincing slightly from the pressure on my bum and stomach.

"what are you doing?" i started to panic, wiggling to get out of his grip.
he ignored my question and started walking out of my room with me bridal style.

"please harry, put me down. im hurting." i plead, another tear running down my cheek.

once again, he ignored me. like mhmm okay, i see you boy. (sorry im really tired and in a sassy mood)

harry walked down the old creeky steps, through the kitchen, and into a long unfamiliar hallway. it was dark, making me a bajillion times more frightened than before. exiting the hallway, into the room at the end, he laid me down on something soft and delicate. surprisingly, it didnt quite annoy my swollen butt.

"you can sleep in here, until i wake you. goodnight, love" he spoke, walking towards the door. it was pitch black, but his footsteps became quieter before he closed the bedroom door.
huffing out a loud breath of air, i thanked the lord i got to sleep somewhere other than that super creepy room i was in before. my eyes soon closed, wishing to myself that i wouldnt have another dream like the one before.

okay that was shi.t, but whatever. the picture above is her "new" room.
hope you enjoy.
