✖Kaecy's P.O.V.✖

After a 12 hour flight we finally land in L.A.

Yeah...L.A., bye bye New Orleans.

Maybe this is the way it should go tho, something may wait for me here.

On the plane I got to know Layla better. I told her that I practically have nowhere to go so she was so sweet and we agreed on sharing an apartment.

After we got off the plane and got our bags, we got in a taxi.

In a few minutes we got to our apartment. It was a rather bigger one, with 3 rooms if we include the livingroom too.

The livingroom was a really pretty room with good vibes, it had a few plants in a corner, a big couch in the middle of the room, a coffee table in front of it and a flat screen TV on the wall.

As you enter the livingroom, on the left there was my room. It had dark red walls, on the wall face-to-face with the door, there were two big windows. There weren't as big so the whole wall was practically the window but they weren't so little either.

As I stood in the door, on my left there was a big bed and two, black nightstands on each side of it.

On the right, there was a closet with a few shelfs and a TV, next to the closet there was a door that led to the bathroom. My bathroom was mediu sized with a bathtube and a sink, also a mirror and a toilet.

I put down my begs next to my bed. In that moment my head started hurting from the lack of coffee. I went to Layla's room.

As I stepped in I observed the New York teamed tapesrty on the walls. Along with the same big windows and the same big bed. It was a pretty room, but I need to admit, I liked mine more.

"Hey, Layla, would you want to come to Starbucks with me? I have never been there and I think it's time for me to try it." I said with excitement in my voice like I'd be a 5 y/o waiting for some ice cream.

"Yeah, of course." She says as she gets a little purse, puts her phone, money and keys in it and we go outside.

There is a Starbucks at the corner of our street, as Layla told me, so we walked there.
We ordered out Lattes and sat down to a table.

We wait for our order to be served. After a good 15 minutes of talking with Layla and waiting, a boy, who seemed familiar, showed up with our drinks.

He looked at me and gasped, I was a bit shocked and tried to remember from where I knew him.

"Kaecy! Hi, do you remember me?" He asked with a sweet smile.

That smile...

...Dawson...

"Dawson!" I yelled and got out of my chair to hug him.

Layla gave us a weird look so I cleared things up for her.

"Layla, this is Dawson, he was my best friend before he moved to New York with his famili." I say and Layla nods in approval "Dawson, this is Layla, she is my apartment mate." I say and Dawson smiles at Layla.

"Nice to meet you Layla." Dawson said shaking her hand.

"Nice to meet you too." Layla says and drink her drink.

Dawson gives me a last smile and walks back to work before his boss would observ that he is talking with us.

I sit back in my chair and take a sip from my dirnk.

"This is so good." I say and Layla nods in approval. "Why didn't we have this at home?" I ask like I'd even care about my home anymore. Nope. That place doesn't exist for me anymore.

"So. You looked at him like he was more than just a best friend." Layla wiggled her brows at me.

"Layla." I giggled.

"What? I didn't see him when he was younger, but now he is a good looking boy." She smiles.

"Okay, I agree, but Dawson isn't my type." I say calmly, taking an other sip of my coffee.

We continue to talk about Dawson but discretly so he wouldn't hear it as he was walking trough the tables with the orders.

When we finished our drinks we paid for them and got up to go home. But before we could reach the door, Dawson stopped me.

"Kaecy. Wait." He said.

"What?" I asked and turned around to face him.

"Would you and Layla want to come to a party with me and a few of my friends." He asked us and my eyes lit up at the tought of partying.

But I knew I need to ask Layla too before I answer. So I looked at her. All she did was nod to me with excitement on her face. That was enough for me to understand that she wanted to go just as badly as I wished.

"Yes." We said at the same time and then we both giggled. "When and where?" I added.

"Tonight at 8 and since I don't know where you two live, we could see each other here." He said gesturing to the road in front of the Starbucks.

"Okay. We'll be here at 7:50" I said and Dawson gave us a big smile.

"Thank you girls." He said "See you both later." He said.

We said our good-byes to Dawson and walked out of the Starbucks and we headed back to our apartment.

I can't even believe this, we just got here and we are already going to a party with a cute guy. And who knows, maybe there are a lot of other cute guys.

Altought I was very angry for missing my flight to New Orleans, I start to enjoy this situation more and more with every moment.
