Three weeks.

Three weeks since Archer was killed.

Three weeks since I lost my first love.

Despite what had happened, I still had to train everyday, I still had to work on my strength. I still had to live everyday as if Archer was never killed. As if I didn't lose my first and only love.

Jasper and I had barely spoken. I don't blame him for what happened. I blame Maria, she was the one who killed him. I think he's trying to give me space but to be honest, I don't want that. I want to be able to talk about it. Talk about Archer and his life. Not have all of this building up inside me.

I heard a knock on my door and I called for them to come in, it was Allaster who opened the door,

"Hey Ade, are you ready? It's time for your first hunt." Oh yeah, I'd been too wrapped up in everything that it had completely slipped my mind that they were allowing me to leave the grounds to hunt, well me and a couple others, including Allaster,

"Yeah I'm ready," I walked towards him, " let's go." He nodded and we were off to the training ground where we would be meeting the other vamps. I turned my head to Allaster while we were walking,

"Do you know who's coming with us?" He stayed silent for a moment, probably wondering whether or not he should tell me,

"I do." And that was all he said. No clarification what's so ever, and I didn't ask for it either, I would just have to find out once I get there. And boy did I.

Allaster and I walked onto the training ground to be greeted by Hunter, Jaspers back and a vampire that's unknown to me. I saw Hunter nudge Jasper which prompted him to turn around,

"There you are, I was beginnin' to worry." Jasper had said with an unreadable look in his eye, and I wasn't about to decipher it just yet,

"Sorry, I was stuck a little in my thoughts." Jaspers already small smile dropped completely,

"Oh right.." There was a small silence that fell. Before it could get awkward though, the mystery man stepped forward and introduced himself with a hand out for me to shake,

"Hi there, I'm Miller. Nice to meet you." I smiled and took his hand in my own,

"I'm Adeline, nice to meet you too." He smiled and dropped his hand, Hunter saw that as his cue to speak up,

"Alright now that we got that over with, let's get goin'. I don't want to be stuck here any longer than I have to." Allaster, Miller and I nodded as Jasper already started walking away from us,

"Well come on then if you all want to leave so badly." The rest of us shared a look before following behind Jasper, Allaster and I a pace behind the rest of them,

"How are you Adeline? How are you holding up?" I looked to Allaster and smiled slightly,

"I'm not great but I guess I just have to push through, no sense in me putting myself down all the time, I'll starve if I do." He nodded at me and that was all that was said.

After around an hour I started to get a little impatient,

"Where exactly are we going and how long are we going to be gone?" Hunter turned around, walking backwards,
