It was almost seven when the shipment truck pulls up to the loading dock of the store. "Dipper, go in slowly. We don't want them to see you," whispers Ford.
Wendy, Ford and Dipper are outside the grocery store. Mabel and Stan are scouting the area ready to alarm us if there are soldiers nearby.
They plan on taking a few crates of food to supply the rebels. After that, the group would try to take some other things like rope and first aid supplies.
"After Dipper goes Wendy, then I'll go. Well rotate until we either have enough supplies or the men come back," Ford continued to explain.
The group waited for the signal from Stan and Mabel to show it was safe and clear to raid. They waited for a few minutes until it came. There was a flash of light from the trees, and the rebels went in.
Dipper ran up to the truck and jumped into the cargo bay. He grabbed a pack of canned meat and then ran to the hiding place just inside the woods. As he ran back, Dipper passed Wendy. Ford is jumping out of the truck when he gets back.
They all grab as much as they can hold and soon get what was direly needed. Then they started collecting extra supplies. The pile in the woods started growing very big in a short amount of time.
Another flash came from the trees a few minutes later.
"They're coming. Let's grab one more load and go," yelled Ford.
"Copy that," Wendy and Dipper said back.
The rebels make one more round to the truck with Dipper being last. He sees Mabel and Stan drop from their trees and grab stuff, also. The three run back to the woods when Dipper tripped.
Mabel and Stan both turned around. Wendy also ran back after setting her load down. Mabel passed her stuff to Wendy and went to her brother's side. Then Stan and Wendy split the boy's load between them so he wouldn't have to carry it. Dipper had scraped his knee pretty badly. There was also the possibility of a broken wrist since he tried to catch himself from falling.
Mabel grabbed onto Dipper's arm and hauled him up. The boy winced as weight was put onto the scraped knee. He started running with Mabel through the pain. They were maybe ten yards from the woods when a shot rang through the air.
The group had been spotted and were being shot at.
Mabel and Dipper ran as fast as they could. The two were gaining ground until Dipper fell down in immense pain.
"AGH" He yelled. Dipper rolled to a stop and clutched the side of his head.
"Not now!" Mabel slowed down and ran back. She stooped down and struggled to pick her brother up. She got him into her arms and started back to the woods.
"Just a little farther. I can make it," she said to herself.
Dipper was still in much pain from the headache. It was lasting longer than usual. And this was ten times worse than the one from earlier. Dipper continued to scream in pain from the headache, knee, and wrist. Mabel just struggled to get themselves to safety.
Mabel suddenly dropped Dipper with a cry. He looked over at her and saw her with her back arched. Stan and Ford were then both coming to get the twins, now. They had been throwing the supplies in the truck that was used to get here. One of them must have gone to get it from the hiding place.
All of this registered in Dipper's mind through the pain before Ford picked him up and Stan, Mabel. They ran and dodged bullets until they reached the tree line. Then, the bullets stopped being fired since the brush was too dense to see clearly. Wendy was in the drivers seat of the truck, ready to go. The back tail gate was down, so Stan and Ford jumped into the bed. Dipper lay next to Mabel, both of them in intense pain.
The headache started to subside a few minutes before getting to the shack. It was fully gone when Wendy parked the truck and everyone started to unload the pillage. Dipper carried Mabel down to the basement room that acted as the hospital. It was hard to get there since there were too many people down there. Something had to be done about them soon.
The boy set Mabel down on the table and examine the bullet wound. It had hit high in her back to the right of her spinal column.
"You'll be fine Mabel. Just stay with us. It will all be okay," he says to her. "Hopefully," Dipper said to himself. Mabel only replied with a groan.
Ford rushes into the room carrying the first aid kit. Wendy and Stan also rush in holding bandages and towels.
"What are you doing?" Dipper asked in alarm.
"What are you doing in here? Get out. We need a clear area," Ford ranted, ignoring the question.
Wendy grabbed Dipper by the shoulders and rushed him to the door. "We have to get the bullet out of her back. We're also going to assess the damage."
"But-"
"No," she cut him off.
"She's my sister, though."
She looked at him with sad eyes. "That's why you shouldn't be there."
She then gave a final push out the door. Dipper turned around and saw her closing it. He rushed up, trying to get back in, only to find that it had been locked.
That's when Mabel began to scream.
