im sorry I literally just went on an editing spree and changed the names of the characters dont @ me. Alex >> Sierra. Ellie >> Danielle "Dani".
————Dust tickled Sierra's nose, causing her to awaken out of her deep slumber. Herself and Dani had spent the rest of yesterday exploring as much as they could of the campus. They hadn't necessarily had the chance to join any clubs or make new friends, but they both knew that they had plenty of time for that.
Sierra checked the time to see that it was 9:00AM. She figured Dani had woken up and gone exploring, considering her empty, perfectly made bedsheets. Sierra stood in front of the mirror, and groaned disapprovingly at the slight bags under her eyes. She had stayed up late all night watching a mini marathon of The Vampire Diaries, and unfortunately it came with consequences.
She stared at her reflection in the mirror, twisting her lopsided bun back to the centre of her head. She sighed with frustration when her method failed, and flopped back onto her bed.
"Ugh, I need coffee."
***
She stood patiently in the line at the campus café, straightening out the creases in her shirt. When the barista called out, "Caramel latte for Sierra," she took her drink, and headed back outside to sit at a table. The morning breeze whipped her hair, causing it to get tangled around her earrings.
She held the warm drink in her hands, and just as she was about to take a sip she heard a "Hey," sound from behind her.
She whipped her head around in surprise, to face a tall boy standing behind her. "Um, do I know you?" She asked him. The boy had curly brown hair, which balanced out his pale skin. His crystalline irises were the color of the sky, and Sierra thought they made his face quite bewitching. He had a killer jawline that looked as if it could slice through marble, but she refused to let his looks distract her.
"No, that's why I'm saying hi," he answered, smiling so smugly it made Sierra cringe.
"Who are you?" She asked the strange boy, wondering why he would want to speak to her out of the blue.
"The name is Isaac. Isaac Lahey," he said, winking flirtatiously.
"Umm, I have a boyfriend," she lied, trying to shut down his flirtatious behaviour.
"No you don't," Isaac answered smartly.
"How on earth would you know that?" She asked.
Because I can hear your heartbeat sweetie, Isaac thought, however he said, "I have a gift that lets me know when people are lying."
Sierra contorted her face with humour, "Right, of course you do," she said sarcastically, "Now I'm just gonna' go back to my drink, which is probably cold now."
"Okay then. That's not a problem with me," he said, before sitting down in the chair across from Sierra, at the table. She just sat there with a look of shock on her face at his rudeness, but the game he seemed to be playing was only amusing her.
"So, do you have a name princess?" Isaac said, eyeing the dark-haired girl in front of him.
"Sierra," she answered bluntly.
"That's cute," he grinned.
"Why am I even talking to you?" She snapped, clearly annoyed.
Isaac raised his eyebrows jokingly at this, not dropping his smug smile, "What can I say, I'm irresistible."
"Oh my gosh stop!" Sierra answered, annoyed. That was something that always bothered her; the fact that people assumed her name was a male's.
"Make me," argued Isaac, monotonously. His voice was deep and husky, and Sierra had to try so hard not to notice any more of his features.
She sighed and rolled her eyes before being interrupted by her phone vibrating in her jean pocket, and she pulled it out to see someone was calling her. "Excuse me Isaac, I should probably take this. It's my cousin."
He shrugged his shoulders, not moving from the seat. Isaac took the opportunity to examine Sierra. Her long, brown waves, her small frame, her long legs. He continued to stare, trying to read her figure like a book. She wasn't incredibly curvy, but she had some shape.
Her features were small and beady, and they stood out against her tanned skin. She was pretty, and even Isaac thought so. She wasn't like his normal type of girl. She was laid back; different, and most noticeably she was confident and had some personality to her. She wasn't some shallow flirt or easy, like most of the girls Isaac had dated.
Her scent was unique; like roses and burning wood. It was an unusual combination, but satisfying to a werewolf. When Sierra had hung up she returned to her seat to face Isaac, taking another sip of her latte, the caramel flavored caffeine drink warming her throat. "What?" she asked Isaac, who was staring at her cheekily.
"Nothing."
"Okay, I don't know what you're playing at but you really gotta' stop being such a flirt," she confronted him, raising her eyebrows with sass, "I'm not interested."
His smirk only grew, as he said, "I'm just trying to be nice. Anyway, I should probably get going now."
Sierra sighed with relief as Isaac stood up to leave, when his gaze shifted as if a thought had just occurred to him, "By the way," he said, "You dropped this earlier."
He placed a mint green Mimco purse on the table, and Sierra immediately recognised it as hers, "Oh, thanks. Wait why didn't you give it to me earlier?"
"We got caught up in a great conversation," Isaac said, "See you around campus." And with that, he simply walked away coolly.
As if on cue, Dani came speed walking towards Sierra, who was beginning to leave. "Ellie! Where the hell have you been?" she asked her blonde friend.
"Exploring," she shrugged, "I met this really cute guy, which I have to tell you all about later, but that's not why I'm all excit-"
"Whoa okay calm down you're talking really fast," Sierra chuckled at her flustered friend.
"Okay, well, did I just see Sierra Lee Dion talking to an actual boy?!" Dani practically squealed, causing people around the two girls to stare.
"Shut up," Sierra said blushing, hitting her friend's arm lightly, "He approached me."
"Well, who on earth was he?" Dani asked.
"Isaac Lahey. That was his name."
