Hayley forced a small smile and hugged her parents and sisters goodbye, slowly unfurling her wings. "Well... hopefully you'll be back soon. Don't forget to come back and visit darling." Her mother said with a sniffle. "I won't Momma. I love you." She replied and hugged her tightly, kissing her two little sisters and her father on their cheeks and smiled sadly.
Then she shot towards the Golden Pavilion, glancing up at the Fellowship. Miriam stepped forward.
"You are going to Earth now, my children. Beware, for it is a cruel and selfish planet full of evil humans who care for no one but themselves. They are much different than the Angels you see here. Trust no one, not even your Assigned. Especially not your Assigned." She said with a warning look that swept across the room.
"Now you may reveal your wings, for at the same time Earth is a place filled with different creatures such a werewolves and vampires, even fallen angels. You must watch out for the Fallen. There is a reason we banished them." The group nodded. Hayley shifted nervously, feeling unsure. They couldn't be that bad... Right?
"Your golden balls will shift into light and will lead to your Assigned. Good luck my children, and stay safe."
After all of the lecturing was finished, she and her fellow Guardians raced to the edge of the town, and then jumped off.
The sight was amazing, Hayley thought, as she saw all the different colored wings flapping in all different directions against the blue sky and fluffy clouds. I wonder where they're all going... Or where I'm going.
Hayley pulled the golden ball out, and it popped again before shifting into a yellow ball of light that zoomed around her head before disappearing into the clouds.
She grinned and then dove after it, tucking her wings in and laughing.
