The Promise

Deku Pov

Kacchan and I were sitting on the bench at our school. I already gained my will to told kacchan the truth about my quirk.

"Kacchan.. I want to tell you something really important.."

"hm? what is it deku?

Kacchan looked at me with a concern look. I really hated it when kacchan did that. I didn't want to make kacchan sad and it hurt me. I opened my mouth to said something but nothing came out. Tears started to fall on my face. Kacchan gasped and hold my hand

"DEKU! what's wrong? are you hurt?? did someone hurt you???"

I shook my head and face him with my teary eyes. 

"Ka-kachan I.. I-I'm quirkless.. I don't have any quirk"

Kacchan looked at me with confused look

"you what, deku?? are you sure??"

I nodded and cried again. Kacchan immediately hugged me and stroke my head

"shh deku don't cry! I'm here.. I don't care if you're quirkless or not! I'll still be your friend!! do you remember when I give you deku as your nick name?"

"y-yes.." 

It was kinda hurt to know that deku mean useless because kacchan said that he gave that nick name to me because I couldn't do anything and always fail

"Well I give you that nick name because you're really useless and because you're useless, I'll be the person who will always support you! I'll be your number one hero that will always protect you!" 

Kacchan smiled at me and swiped my tears with his thumb. I smiled back at him and hugged him back really tight. Kacchan was my only friend because I'm so shy and I couldn't approach other people to be my friends. Kacchan was really gentle and nice. I really love him and I don't want to lose him.

"*cough* *cough*"

"deku? you ok??"

"I-I'm ok--- *COUGH* *COUGH*"

I spit some blood on my hands. When I saw blood on my hands, my body was trembling really bad

"K-ka-kacchan... th-there .. There is b-blood"

"WHAT?! DEKU WHAT HAPPEN TO YOU?!"

"I--I don't kno----"

Before I could finish my sentence, my vision suddenly went black. The last thing I heard was kacchan calling my name.

Kacchan Pov

I catch him before he could fall on the ground. what the fuck happen to him? If he coughed blood than it mean.. no it couldn't be!!

"deku! deku!! wake up!!"

I shook his body and tried to wake him up. Since he was not waking up, I picked him up and went to nurse office

"PLEASE ANYONE SAVE DE-- I MEAN IZUKU!!"

The nurse inside was shocked at my yelling but then she helped me to bring deku to bed. She immediately examine deku and she has shock face on her face when she saw blood on deku's hand

"say where is this blood came from?"

"it's from his mouth when he coughed" 

I said panicking. I was trembling because I'm afraid that something bad might happen to deku.

"What?? umm what's your name kid?"

"My name is Katsuki. Katsuki Bakugou"

"right Katsuki, do you know izuku's mother phone number?"
