"Sabrina," Peyton called through the door, knocking on it lightly.

There was no response.

He had been trying to avoid Sabrina for the past few days to avoid the pain of being reminded that she wasn't, and possibly never would be, his.

However, as soon as Sarah had told him that Sabrina had locked herself in her room and was crying, he forgot all about the pain it might've caused him to see her and rushed over to her house.

"Come on, B. Open up."

"No," she argued back, her voice slightly muffled since her head was pressed against her knees.

"Don't make me get a key from Sarah," he warned, and he heard her groan loudly.

"Fine," she muttered, and he heard light footsteps approaching the door. It was slowly unlocked and opened by a clearly upset Sabrina. She had tear stains on her cheeks and her hair was a mess, yet she still looked flawless to him.

"What happened, babe?" Peyton asked the blonde as he stepped inside of her bedroom and sitting on the edge of her bed, intentionally using the nickname she had requested him to stop using.

"I don't want to talk about it," she mumbled, walking over to the bed and sitting next to Peyton on the edge.

"Sabrina," Peyton warned, and when she refused to look up at him, he took a kneeling stance on the floor in front of her. "Tell me what happened, B."

"Bradley and I, he- we broke up," she told him, tears beginning to build in her eyes. There was a dam holding the tears back, but she could feel the walls crumbling as the water built up in memory of the conversation they had shared less than a day ago.

"I'm really sorry, Sabrina," Bradley apologized.

"No, you aren't," the blonde replied, tears flowing down her cheeks at a rapid pace. "If you were sorry you wouldn't be breaking up with me right now!"

"Sabrina, all I'm doing is hurting you. I mean, you can't even count the times that I've cheated or broken up with you on both of your hands," he fumbled for an excuse.

"So what now? What happened this time? Did you cheat again?" She questioned.

He was silent.

"Answer me, Bradley!"

"Look, it isn't just you that's hurting here! I'm hurting too, Sabrina. I love you, fuck, I really do, but I just keep fucking up and it's leaving me with this guilt that is too much to have to deal with!"

Sabrina was seething by now, her heart still shattered from his words.

"You've been feeling bad about this relationship?" she laughed, no humor in her voice. "My sincerest apologies, I had no clue that you constantly cheating on me was having such a negative effect on you and your health. You poor thing, you must be in unbearable pain right now! I can't even begin to comprehend the way you must be feeling!"

"Sabrina," the brunette tried to backtrack, but the blonde wasn't having it.

"You know what, Bradley? Fuck you. You've done nothing but hurt me and cheat on me and lie to me, and now you're trying to say that this has been rough on you? You're such a fucking insensitive, manipulative, and selfish jerk, I never want to see your fucking face again. Get out of my fucking room, get out of my fucking house, get out of my fucking life, and never come back!"

The tears were now flowing freely down Sabrina's cheeks, and she was beyond furious.

Peyton, of course, was quick to wrap his arms around Sabrina and pull him into his warm embrace. His strong arms wrapped tightly around her tiny body as she cried into his shoulder, and he was stroking her hair soothingly in an attempt to calm her. She mentally slapped herself in the face for letting herself waste anymore tears on the cold hearted boy.

"I'm sorry, I know I cry too much, especially over..him..but something about this fight just felt so... real," she managed to get a sentence out without any tears falling down her face, and she lightly pulled away from Peyton, her head facing down as she used a hand to wipe the tears off of her cheeks.

"Look at me, B," Peyton told her, using his fingers to lift her chin. "You don't have to be sorry (i ain'T SORREH) for something that isn't your fault."

"I loved him, Peyton," Sabrina mumbled, forcing her tears back. "I loved him so much, but do you want to know what I just realized?"

"What did you just realize?" Peyton asked, trying to ignore the pain in his chest when she told him she loved someone else.

"I don't think I was ever in love with him."

These words shocked Peyton to say the least, and he was absolutely speechless.

"I think.. I just think I was so caught up with the idea of being in love that I never actually stopped to think about if I was really in love with him," she sighed.

'I also think I'm in love with you,' she subconsciously added. 'But you probably won't ever know that.'
