Author's POV

Roman stepped off of his private jet and headed straight to the rental car waiting for him. His driver opened the car door for him, before putting his luggage into the car and hopping in and driving off. Roman yawned before checking his watch and seeing what time it was.

1:42 a.m.

Roman rubbed his eyes and leaned his head back against the seat of the car. He was tired due to lack of sleep but he was too anxious to go to sleep. After getting off of the phone with Angie earlier this evening, he agreed to fly out to Naples in the morning so they could meet up and talk. However, Roman was so ready to see her that he left work right away and hopped on his private jet to come see her tonight. He knew what hotel she was staying in, but he was undecided if he should pop up at her room or let her sleep and show up in a couple of hours.

He pulled out his phone and sent her a text message asking if she was awake. Not even a minute later, he received a response that simply said 'yeah'. The wheels in Roman's head began to turn and he had an idea. Luckily, he knew a lot of people everywhere, so he called up one of his friends to set up a surprise for him in a hurry. Once that was taken care of, he text Angie back and asked her to get dressed and meet him at the beach in 30 minutes. He smiled and closed his eyes enjoying the rest of his ride.

Meanwhile with Angie

Get dressed and meet me at the beach in 30 minutes.

Angie stood out on the balcony of her hotel room as she reread that text message over and over. She couldn't believe Roman was here. They weren't suppose to see each other until later on, but knowing how Roman is, she shouldn't be too surprised that he is here now. Angie walked back inside of her hotel room and stopped in front of a mirror and looked at herself. She still looked presentable in her outfit she wore earlier to dinner, but decided to change into something else anyways. She didn't know if she should put on something casual or dressy. It had only been a few days since she last saw Roman, but it felt like much longer. She was actually kind of nervous to see him because she hadn't prepared exactly what she was going to say to him yet. She decided that a drink was needed to calm her nerves. She checked the minibar and bypassed a bottle of wine for something stronger instead, some tequila. She found a glass and poured her a shot tossing it back. She coughed slightly patting her chest. She scrunched up her face and shook her head before putting the tequila back.

Looking at the time, Angie realized she now only had 20 minutes until she had to meet up with Roman. She hurried and looked through her luggage deciding on a strapless green maxi dress. She got dressed and slid her sandals on and checked the time seeing she only had 8 minutes left. She checked herself in the mirror and since she didn't have time to redo her hair or makeup, she simply fixed her ponytail and reapplied her lip gloss.

Grabbing her phone and key card, she hurried up and left her room to go meet Roman
