Author's POV
"I don't understand why we have to do all of this for a company party." Angie complained while getting her hair styled.
"Why can't you just enjoy this babe? Roman was nice enough to send people over here to get us glammed up. That's less work for us." Layla said.
"Yeah but it's alot. For a company dinner? Like I was just going to wear some dress pants and a shirt but Ro wants me to wear this dress."
"Stop whining and let your man cater to us please."
Angie rolled her eyes and looked in the mirror at her hair.
"I can't believe you cut your hair."
"Me either. But I wanted a change. I actually like it. You think Ro will?"
"Girl that man doesn't care if you're bald. He isn't going anywhere. Trust me."
Layla looked at Angie and noticed how gloomy she looks.
"What's wrong babe?"
"Nothing. I'm going to go put my dress on." Angie said before leaving the room.
30 minutes later, they were both dressed and ready to go.
Layla noticed Angie still wasn't saying much so she pulled her aside.
"Talk to me. What's bothering you?"
