"Good afternoon Dr. Ackles. How was lunch?" Nurse Helen smiles.
"It was good." I grin grabbing my clip board. When people think of doctors they usually think like white coats, glasses, old. I personally hate the coats. They get in the way, I did wear glasses but an ex convinced me to get eye surgery (I think my eyes are going bad again but oh well) and well I'm 24. From around the office I've heard I do look pretty hot and well let's face it... I'm fucking stunning. Would I actually admit to someone I feel that way? No because I'll most likely get chewed out for being cocky even though I spent my first 3 years of my twenties trying to build muscle but soon realized hey I look good. And now hear I am. A hot young doctor. Sounds like a bad porn story.
"You have a patient in room 3."
"Okay name?"
"Mary Fellen." I take a step forward but see a very good looking guy walking in. "Misha Collins." Helen grins. "Called in earlier today."
"Get him to room 1." I nod at her.
"Ok." She coos. Yes like always I'm gay. Well.. I hate the word gay. It makes me think of some guy with a high voice and likes to wear sparkles and goes "oh my gaaawd!!!! Benny stooooop!" I am the exact opposite. I mean sure I would like to cuddle up to a cute guy during the winter.. Maybe watch a movie and share a nice lovingly kiss every once in a while...
"And I feel lazy." Mary finishes. I look up from my day dream and nod.
"Uh huh." I stand up and go to my laptop. "It sounds like a slight cold and from what I've seen you might need a little medicine." I write down a prescription.
"Thank you dr. Ackles." She grins.
"Ok. Have a good day marry." I walk out and go back to the desk.
"Misha Collins is in room 1."
"The cute guy right?"
"Yes sir." She hands me his information.
"Misha Collins." I bite my lip.
"20 bucks he's straight." The secretary chuckles.
"Knowing me, probably." I turn around and walk to room 1. "Good afternoon mish-" I look up and see him asleep on the table. I turn around hoping Helen or another nurse would be there but nope. "Um... Misha." I poke him with my pen. He blinks an eyelid open and looks at me.
"Oh my god." He jumps up. "Im so Sorry."
"It's fine." I chuckle pulling my stool over to the table. "How do you feel?" I ask.
"Embarrassed." He groans. I look up at him and raise an eyebrow. "Oh about my sickness?!"
"Mm hm." I nod grabbing some gloves.
"I feel very shaky and tired."
"Uh huh." I lick my lips standing up. I go behind him and lift his shirt up a little. "Can you cough, Misha?" I ask. He does a small cough. "And again." I listen. "Well you sound good. Have you been eating a lot of protein lately? Cheese, eggs-"
"I'm vegan."
"Oh well-"
"I'm kidding. I'm a vegetarian but yeah I do have a lot of protein is that bad?"
"No no that's good. It could be the flu. I'm gonna check your throat." I grab a stick and he opens his mouth. "Can you say ah?"
"Ahhh?"
"Ok good." I laugh throwing the stick away. "I think all it is is a cold. There's a bunch of colds going on in town. We've had like 40 people coming in today with your symptoms."
"Ok."
"I'm gonna give you a prescription and if you're still not feeling good by next Tuesday's drop by again." I wrote down the same prescription I've been writing all day.
"Is being a doctor fun?"
"It pays good. Gets all the guys."
"Guys?"
"Oh uh yeah I'm like 99.9% into guys."
"What's the other 1%?"
"Myself." I turn around and then shake my head. "That came out so wrong." I chuckle.
"Yeah." He laughs.
"But anyway to answer your question. Yeah it's alright. When the whole town isn't coming down with the same sickness. What do you do?"
"I'm a writer for the newspaper."
"You seem very interesting." I hand him the piece of paper.
"Run into me out of the office and maybe you can learn more." He stands up and walks out with a small shake.
