Chapter 4

We set forth to the castle and I'm really excited.I was finally going to see the lanterns in person

The mystery boy still hadn't said anything since we left the tower.Was I boring him or either he just wasn't talking to me

"What's your name"I finally broke the awkward silence between us

"Why is that any of your concern,you wouldn't tell me yours so why should I tell you mines"was he seriously trying to mock me

I looked at him as he stared straight ahead

"I'm Mia and you are?"he shook his head almost as saying 'you never give up huh'

"It's Malik,nice to meet Mia"he faked smiled.I frowned

What's got him in a bad mood,he was just playful a few minutes ago.I just kept my mouth shut and continued to walk

We ended up by some kind of river as Malik sat down on a rock,searching through his backpack

He pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one.I don't know what came over me but I slapped it out of his hand

"And exactly why did you do that"he raised a brow.I guess it was just fast reaction.My mom lit a cigarette one day and I did the same thing to her.I never had seen my mom so anger before

"Cigarettes aren't good for you,you're too young to die"I placed my hands on my hips.He laughed than lit another one

I slapped it out once again.This time he stood up and got in my face

"Why does it matter if I die or not"he snapped

"Because I don't want to be the one held reasonable for such bad behavior and plus I'm not letting you die on my watch so let's keep moving"I tossed the pack into the river and stormed off

I didn't know where I was going but I knew he was right behind.No I was not mad at him,I was just disappointed that even when I told him what the side affect of smoking is,he did it again

"You own me a new pack"he said angrily

"I don't own anything"I looked up at him but all he did smirk

'What did I do this time'

"So you don't,let me remind you of the little deal we made back at the tower,I get you to the lanterns and you do anything I want"I sighed as he smiled with victory

I totally forget about that

*Light bulb*

"Technically I still don't because to you cigarettes is a need more than a want"I smirked back

He looked at me than scoff.Did he seriously just go along with that.But it was true,needs are totally different from wants

Wonder what else I can say to make him think differently
