Dearest Diary,
Ma talked to us about money today. She says we have no income since father died, and that I would no longer go to school. I am disappointed, but I understand. She said we are going to start up a sewing and cooking business until she finds a job. We would fix peoples clothes, and wash them, knit socks and bake delicious cakes and slices. After a lot of planing, Mary and I made a sign and a few posters to put up for people to see while Ma went to the corner store to buy extra flour, eggs and sugar with our last money. She says we will start in three days time.
