Chapter 1
I stared out the window at large palm trees. The sun shown through the window making little rainbows on the carpet. I stretched my legs out, and sat up in my bed, noticing the room for the first time. It was quite large with white walls and white furniture. I stepped out of bed walking towards the small desk. There were picture frames. I squinted my eyes. One of me and two boys with curly brown hair and a blonde girl. I took one last look before walking into the bathroom. My room was exactly how I had left It! I thought maybe my dad would use it as a closet! The last time I had been to my dads house was a year ago. I brushed my teeth and looked in the mirror. I groaned. "Really I'm having a bad hair day today?!" I ran out. I rummaged through my large suitcases. "Shit." I whispered. I have no clue what I'm gonna wear this is hopeless! I looked in the mirror hanging on the wall. I had long chocolate colored hair and light blue eyes. I wasn't very tall I was 5'3. I had a pretty slim figure from doing figure skating. although that was over, now that I moved back in with my dad in L.A. My parents had divorced when I was five. I would stay at my mom's house in Minnesota, and I would stay with my dad in L.A.. Today was the first day of school. Nervous was an understatement. "Carter! Time for breakfast!" Yelled my dad.
