"Hi...uh...Mr. Michaelis. I'm Ms. Evelyn Lovedoer. Pleased to meet you." Standing up, I greet the tall gentleman sitting to the front of me. "It's a pleasure to meet you miss. Please, call me Sebastian." Moving to stand up as well, he greets me in a pleasant manner, bowing to the height of his hips. His voice was low and firm with a haughty, english accent. I do a curtsy in response and slowly sit back down in all elegancy, showing all the respect I have for him and his sir name. I will show great gratitude for what his family has done to help us. Mr. Michaelis does the same. It's so awkward and silent. Although I don't deny his looks, but I regret ever agreeing to do this. I don't agree to a loveless marriage. It's truly unacceptable. "So...I guess we should set this out straight. I'm gonna go ahead and tell you that I really don't see a future with you." I set the record straight, forging a pleasant, but hesitant smile. Showing off the curves of his mischievous grin, he leans to one side of his seat and holds his head placed firmly in the palm of his hand, elbow against the arm of the sofa, looking seemingly amused. His dark eyes spark with curiosity, aiming directly at me. "It is agreeable that I really don't either." he responds. "But let the records show, we're both here now, meeting like this. I think it would be quite quaint to drop an opportunity like this however so fast." he explains, all cunningly. "But if both of us don't see a future, then what's the point?" I quickly react, trying to escape so easily. "The act of getting to know one another...quite well." he suggests. "I think you're mistaken. I'll have you know I'm a woman of high class." I state. "Thanks to my family, isn't that correct?" he questions. "It very well could be, but what does that matter? The deed is done and I fairly don't think that matter has anything to do with what's happening right now." I feel myself growing anxious as our conversation deepens. I"Anyway...the situation seems to be getting out of hand. If you don't agree to my friendship, I'll have to go and talk to my family about such disappointment. Now do you understand?" There's a fierce way about the way he says that. This guy is no Prince, he's a demon...and I'm terrified. This was getting dangerous. Overcome by his penetrating gaze, I soon go along with it, understanding the circumstances that if I didn't go along with this, it could lead to my family going back into debt and I don't want to be held responsible for that. "Are we clear?" he repeats. "Crystal." I respond as I nod slowly. Sebastian moves to get up from the couch. "Good, I will be here around 2pm tomorrow to pick you up. It was nice meeting you, young miss. I hope we get well acquainted with each other." he says, more like demands, as he looks down upon me with sultry eyes, before turing to head for the exit. I lean back in my seat, staring at the ceiling. I knew this shouldn't have happened. Tomorrow, huh? I have a feeling it's gonna be a long day. "So how was it, Dear?" I hear my parents coming from around the corner, asking to see if things went entirely well. Of course I can't tell them I'm being threatened to go out on a date with him. "It was great, it was definitely an experience." I respond in a calming way to give them both a clear mind. I wonder how long I can keep this up before I ultimately explode. Their expressions light up with the most satisfied reactions I've ever seen. "See?? We told you it'd go well." they cheer with happiness. "I guess you did! I even have a date with that bast-I mean handsome young man tomorrow at 2pm." Who just happens to be our life support, but I keep that to myself. I guess there's no harm in getting to know him, but he already acts like such an arrogant fool in front of me, on the day we just met of all things. But you can't fix everyone, so I might as well just go along for right now. At least till tomorrow is done.
