Tom's POV

We dated for a few weeks, till we became a couple. I found out she was in school to be a chief and loved to cook. She works hard to pay for her classes since her family wasn't rich. They weren't exactly poor but they didn't have a lot.

We went to my club cause I wanted to show and impress her with my wealth an power. Show her I can provide for her .

She was in awe at all the people. Even getting excited over seeing a singer she liked there.

We sat and I was talking, when she shocked me with a question.

"Do you enjoy being a gangster or in the mafia?" She asked me. It took me a moment to sink it in.

"I'm not a gangster. My father is. I'm a club owner." She nodded. "And I like the money and respect of being a club owner. I don't owe the world a thing. Brother and I are both the same. Don't owe the world anything. We run this club and get the respect we deserve." I said. She nodded once more.

She looked at me and soon leaned in and kissed me. At first I was surprised. We never kissed on the lips. She told me she has never kissed anyone so I only kissed her on her forehead or cheek.

I soon happily kissed her back.

I love this woman.

I want to make her mine.

Our happiness didn't last. My father and I had a old warrant on us and was on hold till now... Our bail  was denied. We was to turn ourselves in.

My Rose and I spent my last day of freedom together. Not doing anything just holding each other.  We wasn't able to spend our first Christmas together....

I asked my brother Ben to watch over my Beloved Rose.

Rose visited me though. I didn't want her to see me here so I begged her not to come back. She just sat there looking at me sadly.

"I cant live a life like this. Waiting for you to get out. If you get out." She said shaking her head. "Its not going to happen love. I promise you." I told her. She shook her head again.

"How do you know that?" She asked. "Cause I always keep my promises." I reached over and gripped her small soft hands. We both squeezed each others hand gently and lovingly.

"I know a way for you to keep your promise to me." She said. "What?" "You could go straight. I know what you do on the side. I heard your mum talking about how proud she is of you all... Just be a club owner. You love doing that." She seemed to be begging me.

"..... Rose. It's not that easy...." I started but she interrupted me. "I love you Thomas." She said. I was silent.  She was the first between us to say the L word.

"I love you to Rose." I said breathlessly.  I do love her. With all my heart.

"If you love me please... Please go straight. we can be happy. You and I, with out the fear of you being killed or arrested. Be a club owner." She begged, I saw she had tears in her eyes. I just wanted to hold her a nd comfort her .

But I cant.

I nodded.

"Okay." I said rubbing her hands with my thumbs. She smiled happily, and nodded as well.
