I stood there frantically looking around. I had to find him.
I had to find him and get him to fall for me. That was my mission after all.
I started practically running. I probably looked like a mental turkey on steroids.
'Oh wow Laykn, way to make a great first impression.' I thought sarcastically, to myself.
I slowed my pace to a fast walk and looked down at the two schedules in my hand, willing them to find there own way around the school. Obviously that didn't work.
"He should be in room 208, Chemistry, right now" I thought out loud. That earned me a few strange looks. Oh right there are real people here. I probably sounded like a stalker. Great. Oh well, so much for first impressions. I walked away with my head down.
I was trying to find out how the heck to get to Chemistry and back to my class in time. Oh wait, what was my class?
I looked at my schedule.
Chemistry.
This was great we had the same class. This would make finding and socializing with him so much easier. I had to resist the urge to jump up and down. I tried to internally calm myself down.
I looked down at my antique watch. It was gold with a braided detail. I had gotten it from my grandmother, who had gotten it from her grandmother, who had gotten it from- well you get the point. It was passed down the family.
The time on the watch read 7:57. I had three minutes to get to class. I was most definitely going to be late.
I ran down the halls looking at the doors.
"203, 204, 20-" I was cut off by a giant wall that I ran into. I slowly lifted my head and looked up. The wall I ran into was a gorgeous beast. Black hair laid messily on his head, chiseled features, and from what I could see, the body of a god.
"Well hello there, Gorgeous," the beast said, smirking.
"I'm Chandler. What your name?" he continued, sliding his arm around my waist.
"My name is get your hands off of me before I knee you in the balls." I smiled sweetly.
Chandlers face dropped for a split second then warped itself back into its original, devilish smirk. He let me go and turned around to the guys behind him, who I didn't even notice were there. They looked like they just walked out of a tacky bikers movie. Yay for me.
"She's feisty, " Chandler announced.
"Liam will love her." One of Chandlers bikers said. He was cute. He had golden hair swooped across his forehead and had a pretty built body, but not as buff as Chandlers.
Then I realized what he just said.
Liam.
Could he mean the Liam I'm looking for?
I immediately perked up. They seemed to notice.
"What, do you know Liam?" The last one asked. He was probably the least attractive one in the group, but still far more attractive than most guys. He put extra emphasis on the word Liam.
"Uh-...um...no?" I stuttered, but it came out more like a question.
That was the thing about me. I am the worlds worst liar. I am honestly surprised I haven't won a trophy yet.
"Really?" the golden haired one asked.
"For some reason I have a hard time believeing you, don't you Aaron?" He finished, gesturing to the third guy.
Aaron nodded.
I decided to speak up.
"Um well I'd better get going. I'm going to be late to class. Good talk. Bye." I turned on my heel and started to walk away as quickly as possible. But I heard Chandler call out from behind me,
"See ya later Gorgeous."
