WE QUIETLY MAKE OUR WAY into the gala trying not to get caught "Finally," Katy sighs as she steps out like it was center stage.
"My people. Lucky I wore diamonds," Katy adds showing us mom's diamond earrings on her.
"No, Katy, you didn't. Really?" Jenny exclaims worriedly, I hear the camera go off. Lola never misses a moment.
"It's Friday night. What did you expect me to wear, pearls?" Katy snorts.
"I happen to be wearing pearls that grandma gave me," I mumble towards Katy.
"Hey, it's mom," A.J. gasps.
"Where?" Jenny asks mortified.
"Oh, no, this is a nightmare," Jenny adds.
"No, it's actually a really good picture. It's intense," Lola states focusing on her picture.
"Not the picture," I clarify.
"If she sees me, I'll never get that recommendation letter. How did you forget the Andersons' were gonna be here tonight?" Jenny asks.
"I didn't forget. I have it right here on this note," Lola says searching her pockets for the note.
"Where's the note?" Lola whispers to herself.
"Ah, do you smell that?" Bobby asks smelling the food in the air.
"Fresh oregano and a hint of red pepper," he adds. Someone's arm reached out and pulled Bobby back.
"Jenny, coat room over there," Trey says looking at the other side of the room.
"Everyone duck and cover. Let's go," Lola orders.
We all duck behind carts of foods, I was with Trey, he held out his hand and I grab onto it, so I don't get lost. We arrive in the kitchen "And these are my people," Bobby laughed.
"Oh! I can't serve this," one chef yells.
"It's original creation. C'est magnifique," the other chef says in a French accent.
"It's dog poop," the first chef exclaims, I giggle at his comment.
"You are dog poop," the French chef says as he squirted chocolate frosting onto the first chef.
