Hey wattpaders, hope you enjoy. In the next chapter a secret will be revealed. Feel free to  to comment any suggestions or advice.

Percy helped me get up from the bed. I stared into his eyes. They were so green; as green as the sea. I turned away, unable to keep feeling of sorrow out of my head. His eyes looked too much like mine used to be. I remember staring into a mirror and seeing a young girl with bright green eyes before they burnt into shade so dark that no light would be absorbed, it would be reflected instead. I see that girl every time I look in the mirror. That girl was me.

I quickly collected myself and went to the bathroom, ready to get out of their sight. I couldn't help but feel nervous. Nervous that they might find out my all my secrets just by looking at me. I splashed cold water on my face and reminded myself what they thought I was. What they saw was a girl with tan skin, obsidian eyes, and long dark brown hair. A daughter of Paul Blofis who was paralyzed for so many years after a car accident, but just recently recovered from her injures. Part of it was true. I did recover from being paralyzed, but the cause of it was something entirely different. The way her beautiful sculpted face dug into my flesh still haunted my memories. I shook the thought away and reminded myself that I was mortal in their eyes. With that thought in mind I went out the bathroom and tried to act as normal as possible.

When I reached the bottom of the stares I heard them whispering among each other. I backed up, hoping to not be seen and listened carefully.

"Your right, Paul. We should all just act as if nothing happened. Pretend like she wasn't paralysed before. It will help her heal mentally. Do you think she'll need some therapy.

"Nah" said Percy. "Other than a little frightened, she seemed fine, which is normal considering the fact that we are pretty much strangers to her."

Sally sighed, "I guess you right. Let's just put the whole business behind us and enjoy our breakfast"

"Alina," she called. "Breakfast is ready."

I walked down the rest of the steps and acted as if I heard nothing.

"Darling, how many pancakes would you like?" "Three" I replied. She placed the plate in front of me. I stared at the blue pancakes in confusion. Percy must have seen the confusion on my face since he laughed and almost spitted out his milk in the process.

"Your expression is priceless." He said between laughs. "I've gotten a lot of reactions when people see my mom's pancakes, but theirs was nothing as funny as yours." I gave him a weak smile. "So why is it blue?"

He paused for a moment and replied, "It's a thing me and my mom like to think of. Like if pancakes can be blue then anything is possible." I nodded, unsure of how I should reply.

Sally went to Percy and started stacking pancakes on his plate. She was waiting for him to say that's enough, but Percy just stayed quiet. His smile grew more and more as Sally kept adding pancakes to his plate. Eventually Sally stopped and ruffled his hair. "That's enough for a lifetime." Percy picked up his fork and stared at his plate greedily as he wolfed down each bite. I felt sorry for the pancakes.

After breakfast, I saw Percy packing a suitcase. Thinking that we were going out of the state I went to go pack my own. I didn't know where the suit cases were so I ended up using a bag. As I was packing, Percy crossed the entrance of my room and did a double take. He look at me with a worried expression.

"Alina, is there something wrong?" He sat down on a chair and grabbed my hands. "Hey, if there's something you need to talk about, you know you have me to talk too." I stared at him in confusion then it clicked in my head. He thought I was getting ready to run away. "I was packing because we are going out of the state." I said. A look of relief flashed on his face then it turned to confusion. "Out of the state? Who told you we were doing that?"

I stared at him. "Then why were you packing?" He just looked at me and carefully thought of his next words "I'm uh going to be staying at a summer camp for a while. It's to help people like me with disabilities. I have dyslexia and ADHD."

"Oh" I replied, seeing right through his lie. I already knew all about Camp Half-Blood and Camp Jupiter.

He kissed my cheek. "Even though we only barely meet, still know that if you need someone to talk to, we are there for you. We're your family.
