CHAPTER 16
Hi, everyone. Finally, the last chapter for now. All the chapters 12, 13, 14, 15 and this one are all parts of what supposed to be one VERY long chapter.
Like I said before I had to break them up as I saw fit.
Thanks so much for bearing with me.
This chapter is very short. A little tease if you will until the next one, which I hope will come either later this week or early next week. We'll see...

RORY
As soon as the truck was in motion, my hand was in Trevor’s hand again. In the back of my mind I was worried Trevor was pissed at me and I was afraid I might have said something that might have offended him because of the arguments earlier in the restaurant especially about paying the meal, but…God, Trevor kissing me at a stop light? Then again and again his feather-like kisses on my knuckle? How was I supposed to think about anything else?
All too soon, we finally arrived at his place. We got out of the truck, and I quickly ran out of the garage standing in the middle of his driveway basking myself with relief from what I didn’t know right under the cold and hard pouring rain. I was completely drenched in mere seconds as I twirled and spun with arms up in the air and my head tilted upwards looking at the dark sky like a dork that I was. I couldn’t help but smiling all the while I was doing this. I loved water and have loved being under the rain for as long as I could remember. I loved this feeling as if all my worry, all my problems and every little thing that had been weighing me down were washed away.
“RORY!” Suddenly his voice booming, louder than the rumblings of thunder in the sky. “What the fuck are you doing?!” Trevor stepped forward towards me with his lips clenched shut turning white as pace after pace stood him right in front of me. My eyes widened and my smile fell. He was angry at me. Again. Seriously his mood swings were going to be the death of me. I sighed.
“A little rain couldn’t hurt anyone, Trevor.” Damn, he sure knows how to ruin this for me, doesn’t he? I cursed mentally.
As if we were in a romantic novel, Trevor moved to tuck a few strands of my sandy blond hair behind my ear. I shivered and shuddered, not because of the cold rain, but from when his fingertips grazed and touched the tip of my ear. My blue orbs gazed into his auburn ones. It felt like the time just stood still as we just stood there staring in each other’s eyes. I tried to decipher it but at this perfect moment I couldn’t figure out what was going through his mind. Then…
His arms were around me and he pulled me close. “Sshh,” he crooned.
We both were completely soaked, but I couldn’t care less about that. I leaned into him. Suddenly, I felt safer just being near him and in his arms. He pushed a strand of wet hair from my face. Trying to catch my breath, a sob instead escaped my throat. I went to cover my mouth. However, Trevor swiftly cupped my face in his hands. His eyes were bright, and his lips parted. He just stared me, as if he were thinking about something.
