Ashton's POV:
Its a date. I wish. I thought all my feelings would go, that I would put Rosie first but the closer I get to my daughter, the closer I feel to Summer.

*Phone buzzes*
Summer: Hey Ash, what time are you coming over? We have one very impatient girl waiting haha x

Me: I'll be over in 10 minutes, I was thinking we could go feed the ducks maybe? Would Rosie be up for that? X

Summer: She's so excited to see you again, I don't think she really minds x

Me: Aww bless her, I won't be long I'm leaving now x

I can't believe she's so excited to see me...well, I am still mummy's friend Ashton aren't I?

Summer's POV:
In walks Ashton looking as good as ever. His brown curly hair was all over the place but still looked adorable. He was wearing black skinny jeans, a plain white top & a leather jacket. Damn.

"Where's my favourite girl then?" He said loud enough so Rosie could hear from the living room. I heard a little gasp before running into the kitchen & straight into Ashton's arms. He picked her up & span her around. He brought her back down to earth and placed her feet back on the floor.

"So, you ready for our day out?" He asks. She nods her head quickly before looking around for her shoes.

"Mummy where's my shoes?" She asks, looking up at me. "Wherever you put them darling." I reply.
"Oh, I remember." And off she runs upstairs. Ash stands back up.

"Hey Summer, how are you?" He asks. 'Apart from feeling like I'm falling back in love with you, I'm great' I thought.

"I'm fine thank you." Silence fell. That is until we heard a loud crash at the bottom of the stairs, then came a loud cry. Ashton beat me to it and ran as fast as he could to the stairs. There in a heap on the floor was Rosie.

"Rosie, are you okay? Come here" he helps her up, embracing her. "What happened?" I asked.
"I tripped and fell down the stairs." She cries.

"Oh baby girl" I say, stroking her hair.
"Did you hurt yourself?" He asks, giving her space to show him where she had hurt herself.

"My knee" she said. Ash sat her on the last step & rolled up her leggings. He bent his head down and kissed her knee, calling it a "magic kiss." I remember them. He rolls her leggings back down and helps her up. We all walk into the kitchen, getting ourselves ready.

Once Rosie had calmed down and got her coat on, we left the house.

*2 hours later*
Ashton's POV:
Here we are, being a family.
Me and Summer both sat on the bench with massive smiles on our faces, laughing every now and then while watching Rosie chase the pigeons away. I really did feel like a proud parent, even though it had only been a few days.

"Look at her" I say, smiling.
"I know...that's what you missed out on Ash. Our beautiful little girl." She said. I look at Summer, she has a sad sorry expression on her face. I really did mess up, I've realised that. "Summer" I take her hands in mine "I know I messed up...but I meant what I said. I'm not going anywhere. Not now. Not ever. That little girl needs me. She needs her dad. And I'm gunna step up and be the dad she deserves. I'm sorry I missed out on the important milestones and when she's old enough I'll tell her I wasn't there in the first few years, I won't hide away. I'm gunna make a difference Summer. Believe me. And I hope, one day, we can be a family again." Tears start forming in her eyes. I know she believes me, I can read her like an open book.

"Me too" she mutters. I let go of her hands and look towards Rosie. She's running around laughing, having a whale of a time. I love her so much.
All of a sudden my phone starts ringing ...

..its Luke.
