*WARNING: VIOLENCE*
Ashton's POV:
Tonight we're off out for lunch to end these 2 perfect days. I've never felt happier, Summer never fails to make me happy. She's stood in front of the mirror, looking at her reflection. I go from behind her and wrap my arms around her middle, my chin resting on her shoulder."For the first time I finally understand the difference between pretty and beautiful." I smile, kissing her cheek. She turns her head away, a small giggle escaping her lips. Her cheek had gone a light red colour, she was definitely blushing. She turned around and kissed my cheek before walking around the room.
"I'm so excited for-" she was interrupted by her phone ringing on the bed.
"Hey Amber. Whats-Amber slow down. Slooow down. What's happened?" She calmly said into the phone. Her eyes searched the floor, looking confused but starting to panic.
"Okay. Okay I'm on my way." She hung up and ran out, muttering a sorry as went past.
"Summer what's up?" I asked, shouting down the hall. "Summer?" I shouted. She has gone. An hour before we were supposed to go to our reservation. I hope she's back in time.
Summer's POV:
I'm racing over to Amber, my bare feet banging against the pavement. I no longer look ready for a romantic meal but like I've been dragged through a hedge backwards. After a short run, I finally arrive at Amber's, my heart racing. There she is, laying on the cold hard floor. She's as white as a sheet."AMBER" I shout, running to her side. I rest her head on my lap, searching her face. She's battered, bruised, there's a pool of blood on the floor along with broken glass. I go to say something when someone enters the house. Its Ashton.
"Amber...Summer?" He asks. His face goes white, his eyes going crazy. He kneels down beside me and looks down at Amber.
"What's happened?" He asks.
"D-Darren." She coughs quietly. Ashton takes his WHITE shirt off and tells me to put pressure on the gaping hole in her leg. He takes out his phone and rings for an ambulance. His toned back is in my sight, he's pacing around in the kitchen.
"Amber, why did you let it get this far?" I ask, tears streaming down my face.
"I-I'm so sorry S-Summer." She whispered, struggling to breath.
"Don't be silly, this is that scumbags fault. How dare he?!"
"Where's Rosie?" She asks.
"She's at nursery." I smile. "ASH WHERE IS THAT AMBULANCE?" I shout.
"Its on its way, they told me to keep a look out."
It took 10 minutes for it to arrive but when it did they said they would do everything they could.
"Would you like to ride in the ambulance?" The paramedic asks us. I look towards Ashton and tells me to go.
"I'll explain to the boys and ask if they can pick Rosie up and look after her for a few hours. Just go." The tears still stream down my face as I run out the door.
Ashton's POV:
"Excuse me sir." The paramedic approaches me. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave the premises, its now a crime scene and have to wait for the police and the forensics." I nod, leaving. What the hell just happened?! My heart was racing, I hope she's alright.Next thing to do is explain to Cal, Luke and Michael. I explain what happened and they all agree to look after Rosie and even offered over night, which I know Summer would be grateful for. Cal has a spare key to get into mine so I told him to go back to ours and they could crash at ours until we got back.
I go home and quickly change before heading to the hospital. Summer had quite a bit of blood on her too so I decided to pick up some spare for her and made her a sandwich. I'll buy her a coffee when I get to the hospital. I run to the car and place the carrier bag in the passenger seat before starting starting the engine and driving to the hospital.
After a 10-15 minute drive, I make it. I ask front desk where they had taken her and where I could find them. The woman told me Floor 4, ICU (Intensive Care Unit). I stop to get us both a coffee before heading to the ICU. I see Summer in the waiting room, her face stained with tears. I hand her the coffee cup. She looks up towards me and I smile. Her eyes glaze over, more tears threatening to spill. I sit next to her and put my arm around her, pulling her in for a side hug.
"Hey..she's in safe hands now. She's going to be okay. I promise. She's a strong girl, just like her sister." I smile, placing a small kiss on her head. She nods in agreement as she pulls away, sitting up straight.
"What's in the bag?" She asks, wiping the stray tears. I hand it to her and looks inside.
"I thought I would bring you a few things, I didn't think you would want to stay in those clothes. And I didn't want you to get hungry, I mean I you did I would have gone to the vending machine but-"
"Thank you Ash. I love you. Is everything sorted with Rosie? Did the boys understand?" She rushed, looking to me.
"Babe calm down. They were fine, they are going to crash at ours so we don't have to rush back. I didn't think you would want to."
She hugs me again, kissing my cheek.
"Thank you so much. And I'm sorry about ruining our date night." Her head falls, looking towards her feet."Hey! Don't you be silly. We didn't know Darren was going to do this. We knew he was an asshole but never knew he was capable of something like this. We can redo it but for now...-" I take her hands in mine. "I'm going to stay right by your side and I will do whatever I can for Amber." I smile.
