Chapter One

***Three Years Later***
Yn Alsina

"Aiden help Ace clean up all that cereal he spilled." I said as I pulled Amari's hair up into a pony tail.

"Mama he can do it himself." Aiden complained

"He's only three now do what the hell I told you to!" I yelled

"Okay dang!" he yelled back

"Boy-

"Aiden you going to get your ass beat!" August cut me off.

"Sorry." he apologized and helped his brother.

"Morning baby." I said while getting up.

"Morning." he said while pecking my lips

"You coming with us today?" I asked while giving Amari the brush and rubber bands to put away.

"I got some interviews today." he said

I sighed

"When aren't you working?" I asked

"Baby don't start this. You know I got to work to keep these bills paid." he said

"But your kids and I miss you. It's like we barely fucking see you." I said with an attitude

"Oo mommy cussed." Alex said while starring at August and I.

"Oo." Ace instigated

"Y'all go upstairs with Aiden and Amari while mommy and daddy talk." August told them.

They nodded and made their way upstairs.

"So are you going to make room for your family in your schedule?" I asked

"I will soon baby I just got so much to do." he said

"You always got to much to do. When are you going to make time for our family!?" I yelled

"Can we just stop talking about this I told you I would soon!?" he yelled getting frustrated

"You said that last time too remember!?" I asked

"Yn I'm not doing this shit today I told you I will soon." he said walking away

I rolled my eyes

"Whatever Aug." I said as I headed up the stairs

"Mommy you and daddy fight?" Ace asked

"Don't worry about that baby." I told him as I started looking for the twins something to wear.

"Mama where we going?" Amari asked

"To Jana house so you and Aiden go find y'all something to wear." I told them

"Okay." Aiden and Amari said together and went to their rooms.

I had finally found the twins something and went to wash them up. After they were done I went into me and August room. I rolled my eyes because I heard the shower running letting me know August was in there.

August and I have been having troubles ever since his last album came out. Of course I'm proud of him for being on his grind and doing what he desires but the kids and I miss him all the time. August hasn't really been spending time with his family because he's always at some interview, Photo shoot, studio, concert, or tour. I'm really tired of this but anyway my thoughts were interrupted by August coming in behind me.

"Baby I'm sorry about earlier. I'll clear this weekend so I can just chill with y'all." August said while wrappings his arms around my waist.

"Yea sure." I said sarcastically

"Baby I promise." he said resting his head on my shoulder.

"You promise?" I asked with an eyebrow raised

"Of course." August said with a warm smile.

"Thanks babe." I said as I smiled back and headed into the shower.

Once I was done putting on my clothes and things I went downstairs. August was just about to leave but I caught him before he could.

"Damn I don't get a bye baby, I love you?" I asked

He chuckled

"Bye baby, I love you." he mocked me

"Mhm love you too." I said before he pecked my lips and left out.

After closing the door I looked at my watch realizing it was time for me and the kids to go.

"Y'all come on!" I yelled upstairs

I heard their footsteps running down the stairs like a stampede. I couldn't help but shake my head. We left out and got into my truck the drive to Jana's house was quiet because the twins had fell asleep. Once we got there I told Aiden to get Alex and I got Ace. The door was already unlocked so we let out selves in. Me and Aiden laid the twins on the couch and Amari went upstairs to Christina room.

"Aww look at them. They make me want to have more babies." Jana said as she came downstairs.

"Girl bye. They cute but they something else." I said while ruffling Ace hair.

"That's because you and August spoil them." Jana said while sitting down.

"August ain't do shit he barely fucking around." I said while rolling my eyes.

"Aiden how about you go upstairs while me and your mama talk." Jana told him

"Okay. Is chris here?" he asked

"Yea he's upstairs." she said as Aiden ran up the stairs.

"So what's been going on?" Jana asked

"He always gone and even when he is here we're always arguing." I explained

"Where is he?" Jana asked

"Today he said he has some interviews to do. I know I'm supposed to support my husband and I try but its hard because I really miss him." I said while tearing up a little

"Well he's becoming big out there in the music industry so, no he's not going to always be home but he's pursuing his dreams. Chris and I went through the same thing but we pulled though together." Jana said while hugging me

"I know that and I'm proud of him but aren't I supposed to be happy too?" I asked

"Yes you are." she said

"Then why aren't I? Why did I have to push my dreams aside for him to have his?" I asked

"I don't know Yn you need to talk to him about this." Jana said

"It won't make no sense we'll just start arguing." I said while shrugging my shoulders.

Jana sighed.

"I'm sorry best friend I don't know what to say." Jana said

"It's cool." I said with a sigh

I really hope we can get through this problem in our marriage.
