[May 18, 1940]
It was cloudy and gloomy that day. The sky shaded a light gray as rain gently poured down from the sky. I looked out the window in my room, and saw something I never saw before. It was in the distance, but I was sure enough that the thing out there was new. My curiosity let me sneak downstairs, through one of the side doors of the mansion we lived in. To the side of the house was a big forest. I looked up and glared at the window I was just looking out of, and started walking. As I got closer to the forest the object became more clearer. It was a small shed. What was something like this doing out here? When did it get here? My golden blonde hair was now soaked, and my nightgown damp from the rain. My feet were muddy, and I was barefoot. But I didn't care. Tomorrow is my birthday. I am going to be thirteen years old, so that meant I would officially be a teenager. Thinking that gave me more confidence in myself, as if I were older and more mature. I approached the shed. I slowly opened the door, and walked in. The shed wasn't big at all, but there were some small bookshelf, and a table. And on that table was a small candle lit and a black book. The cover was written in a completely difference language, that I haven't even seen before. I took it off the table, and ran back to the house. Something about this book was so interesting to me, I just had to find out. It was like it was placed in that shed for a reason. I ran back inside, wiping off my feet. As soon as you walked in there was a huge open room with a big chandelier and a carpet. I set the book down, as I sat down myself. My parents were most likely in the study, working. I opened the book.. and it was all written in English. I found that quite weird. The book gave me pronunciations to say out loud, so I did. And that probably was my biggest mistake yet.
The room grew dark, as a mysterious mist swirled around me. I was terrified. I heard whispers, and the wind current was rather cold. The mysterious mist went into one place in front of me, forming a person. H-How was that even possible?! I could feel tears water in my eyes. The mist formed a woman, with long black hair, and a long black dress. "Brittlyn Alison." She said. How'd she know my name?! I tried to reply, but nothing came out. "You've summoned me, yes?" I nodded quickly. "B-but.." I managed to get out. "I-I didn't mean too...." I crawled backwards. This was all too scary. The woman put her hand out. "Oh, no you don't." She said, as I stopped moving. It was as if I was frozen into place. This had to be a dream....just a nightmare! "Wake up, Britt...wake up please.." I said, as a tear streamed down my face. The woman laughed. I looked up at her. "This isn't a dream, this is reality. You're life." She paused, and glared at me with a devilish smirk. "Or at least, you're new one." After that, everything went black. I woke up, the next day. My.....birthday. I adjusted my eyes to the light, and I looked next to me and screamed. The woman was there, right next to my bed. "Good morning, sunshine." She said. I got up out of my bed. "S-Stay back!" She laughed at me. "Feisty, aren't you?" She glared. I narrowed my eyes at her. "What do you want from me.." I asked, the same devilish smirk on her face. "I want you to look behind you." I slowly turned around. There was a mirror there. I looked into it, as I was dressed in a black jacket and dress. "Wh-What did you DO?" I turned, startled at my own appearance. She looked me dead in the eye. "You're a demon now, Britt. And i'm you're boss.."
"The names Isabelle."
I looked at Isabelle. "I'm a DEMON?" I questioned out loud. She nodded. "Yes, but go downstairs. You're parents are waiting for you to celebrate your birthday." I ran downstairs and into the dining hall. "Mom..! Dad..!" I yelled as I started to cry. "Help..please!" My parents both were sitting down. "Poor Britt. She's such a sleepy head. Late for her own birthday breakfast." My Mother said. My parents loved me very much, they probably were just teasing. "Mom, i'm right here." I said. I got no acknowledgement. A couple minutes later, I started to get worried. "Let's go wake the sleepy head up." My Father suggested. I tried again. "Oh come on dad, i'm serious! I'm right here!" My Mother nodded towards my Father, as she got up and went upstairs. I followed. She walked down the long hall into my bedroom, and screamed. I ran in to see her shocked that I wasn't in my bed. Now I knew they weren't kidding. My Father ran upstairs to my Mother. "What is it?!" He said, scared. He walked in and saw me missing in my bed. Isabelle was sitting on the chair, my parents obviously couldn't see her either. Isabelle looked at me.
"You're mine now." She said.
There was a memorial service a week later. For me. I couldn't believe this. By now my parents were told by authorities this was a disappearance of a person.
Now I work under Isabelle's word.
