(Julian is being played by Hayes Grier)
I sigh as I see my sister making breakfast, I mentally gag but decide to humor her. I stare at it for another five minutes before I finally decide to just "be a man" and get it over with. I take a forkful of the eggs she had put on the plate, and put it in my mouth, quickly chew and swallow it, trying to make quick as possible and not taste anything. I hear my phone ring and I groan as I press the button to the accept the call.
"Hello?" I ask as I take a sip of my orange juice, only to spit it out. How do you mess up orange juice? I hear muffled voices in the other side of the line and a scream.
"Um, hello?" The line goes quiet and I hear the familiar sound of my friend Kian, sounding a little out of breath.
"Julian, bro, i'm on my way to pick you up right now, be ready." The line goes dead as I oblige to his commands. I run upstairs, tripping on a step as i'm making my way up the staircase. I grab my backpack and walk to the front door just as Kian pulls up in my driveway. He signals me to hurry up as he takes a long drag of his freshly lit cigarette. I jump in his matte black camaro and ask him for a light as I take a cigarette out of his pack. He glares at me but nods his head as he pulls out lighter from the glove compartment.
The drive to the school was short and not so sweet due to the fact that I had to listen to Kian's guy troubles about he couldn't keep a guy because all they wanted was his money. Kian's always been like this, he wants all the strings attached. He's a close friend of mine and as much as I don't like to show it, it hurts me to see him so heartbroken time and time again all because some pathetic guy couldn't see how great he is. Kian is very attractive for a seventeen year old, but then again, most guys now a days are but nothing compared to Kian. We stop in front of the school and Kian parks his car, causing everyone to turn their heads towards us. I mean, I can't blame them, if two attractive teenage boys pulled up in a nice car I would turn my head too. The stares don't mean anything anymore, Kian and I are starting our senior year and it's honestly tiring now. I have a reputation, not a very good one but people know my limits. I don't mess with people and people don't mess with me and that's how its always been. I head to the office to grab my schedule like every New Harmony student.
After getting what I needed, I make my way out the office, and bump into someone causing them to drop their books and papers.
"Shit, there goes the classwork."
I bend down and start to help pick up the papers and put them in order. As I go to reach for the last piece, a small hand goes to grab it also. My large hand brushes against the smaller hand as grab the paper and put it in the stack that they are holding. I look up to see a girl with books tightly held against her chest. She looked plain. But her eyes, it was a like gold spiraled around her irises and danced across her eyelashes whenever she blinked. I stand up, not breaking eye contact, because if I look away then i'll forget those eyes. Those beautiful eyes.
I hold out my hand and she takes it, her long chocolate hair flowing behind her. I feel more and more entranced every second I look at her.
She snatches the last paper out of my hand and spins on her heel, leaving me in the dust wonder who the hell that was.
