A new beginning. A clean slate. Starting fresh. This is what the first day of high school meant to Adrianna. Middle school didn't end the best so lucky she was joining a new school where she only knew a couple people. One of which used to be her best friend Anastasia but they faded apart a bit in the summer.

*Adrianna's POV*
Walking in to school I could feel my stomach tightening as I continued to get nervous. I was going through the hallways alone and clueless making it clear to everyone that I was a freshman and from what I heard upperclassman are always giving the freshman a hard time. It felt like everyone just kept looking at me.

I glanced down at my schedule to make sure that I was going to the right class , 251. I went up the stairs . . . 245, 247, 249, 251 I found it! I walked to the back of the class where I saw Anastasia also sitting alone.

"Stas?! I screamed

"Adeeee!! I missed you, how's was your summer?" She responded.

We caught up with each other and immediately it felt as though we never stopped talking. We made a deal to meet back up before lunch at the bubbler next to the math classroom with the hot teacher.

I felt so much anticipation leading up to lunch. When I got to the bubbler Anastasia introduced me to another girl she met during the day named Alona who was going to come to lunch with us. Right when we got into the cafeteria it was easy to spot to goths, the outsiders, the jocks, the nerds, and finally the popular girls. We headed over to their table, not knowing that Alona had some issues with some girls at the table. They saw us walking their direction and smiled so we knew it was okay to come sit down.
"Oh, hi Alona.. Who are your friends?" One girl with long light brown hair and freckles asked.
"This is," Alona started,
"I'm Anastasia and this is Aderianna" Stas finished.
"Straight A's, wow you guys sound like a perfect little possi although I'm sure that's not what your grades look like Alona," the brunette responded while giving Alona a dirty look.
An awkward silence came across the table that's when I knew theres was a past between Alona and the other girls.
"Sorry almost forgot to mention my name's Savannah. These are my friends Morgan, Melissa, and Alisha." The popular girl added on. For the most part we all sat quietly and ate lunch. At the other half of our table there was a group of guys sitting and a blonde boy at the end who I could tell Stas had her eyes on.
