Howls screeched in the distance and I knew soon I would find my pray. My feet flow over the damp marshy ground and my fangs pushed through my gums. I knew the wolves were close. The perfect little snack at this time of night. I smiled at my two sisters, Crystal and Lola, and I knew they were as hungry as me.
The howls got closer and close until I was sure we were only a few feet away but suddenly the first shaft of sunlight glared through the tree. Lola scuttled to the shade of the trees and Crystal was only a few steps behind her. I knew the wolves would be turning back into humans but I could still drain them.
"Kate come here . You will burn" Demanded Crystal." Hush... little sister. We need blood." Quickly, I sprinted into the thick woods. I must be close I thought hungrily. Without warning a shaft of sunlight hit be. I screamed and ran into the shade of the trees. My side was burned but was healing as I thought.
I ran through the shadows back to my house. The door swung open as I dashed up the front steps. My sisters pushed me inside.
They looked at me hopefully as my parents moved to the back I shook my head. We hadn't had some distant wolf blood for ages
Quickly, I got dressed and made sure I wore thick layers so I would not burn at school. Not that it wouldn't be funny to look at the humans faces when they released I was a vampire but I wasn't ready for that. I wasn't ready for people to try to kill me because they knew what I am.
