Chris whispered sweetly to me and I giggled. We were in third lesson. And the question I needed to ask was still in the back of my brain. I needed him to say that I could meet his family if they knew I was his mate they would trust me just like he did but the problem was he thought I was human. Most people who get human mates will not show them there family. In case it scares them and they reject them so how was I going to do this.....
I didn't have to at break we were hand in hand and then Chris said "Kate I love you . I want you to meet my family but promise you wont get scared." I looked at him "Why would I get scared there just people?" I said playing my part. Chris looked down and said "you will see why tonight." I looked confused trying to make sure he didn't work out I already knew.
That night we walked into the woods and I whispered as worried as I could" Where are we going?" He squeezed my hand but didn't reply.
Slowly, we entered the clearing.(A place I have been many times while hunting. People stared then one came forward and said "son is this your mate?" Chris nodded and is farther smiled came and took my hand and said "Child what you witness now. You have to keep secret agreed." I nodded making sure to look like a frightened little girl .Suddenly, people around me started changing into different colours of wolves.
I screamed trying to look terrified. Chris pulled me closer and whispered "This is my family do you still love me?" I felt like blurting out I never loved you to start with. I was silent for a minute then nodded. He smiled in happiness.
Soon my family will feast I thought happily. I just have to pick the right moment......
