(First Person, Xiumin's POV, Emily)

I waited for Emily outside her house. We were going to the local fair today and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to confess my love for her. Emily and I had been best friends for about four years now, and since the moment I laid eyes on her, I loved her. I know, I know. It sounds cliche and super cheesy. But it's true.
The front door swung open suddenly, interrupting my thoughts. Emily stepped out of the house. She smiled at me and began to lock the doors. As she was, I looked her up and down. She looked beautiful today. Well she looks beautiful everyday, but today especially. She was wearing a sweet pastel pink dress and a nice white cardigan over the top of it. She had her hair down, pushed back with a plain white headband. And black ankle boots to finish it off.

The two of us left for the fair. I was really excited, but super nervous at the same time. On the bus, I felt my palms getting sweaty as Emily began talking to me about this and that. I started to subconsciously space out, unintentionally ignoring what Emily was saying.
"Hey, are you okay?" She asked, waving a hand in front of my face. I snapped back into reality and gave her a sweet smile. She returned it with a grin.

When we arrived at the fair, there were people everywhere. It was a lot busier than what I expected. There were rides, stalls, games and little food stands.
"What should we do first?" Emily asked me. I shrugged as I looked around.
"Uh, is everything okay? You seem anxious about something." She continued. I flashed her a sweet smile before my eyes landed on the Ferris wheel.
"How about we go on the Ferris wheel?" Emily nodded excitedly and pulled me towards it.
In no time, we were in the carriage and about to go up. As we got higher up, I decided now would be a good time to confess.
"Hey Emily..." I trained off. She looked at me eagerly, waiting for me to go on.
"See, for a long time I have really-" I was cut off by her phone ringing.
"I'm sorry, let me take this call quickly." Emily placed her hand on my shoulder as she put the phone to her ear.

A couple of days later, Emily asked me to help her pick out a dress for a wedding she was invited to.
"It's my favourite cousin's wedding, I have to look perfect!" She exclaimed happily. I could only smile at how excited she was. The bus arrived at the mall and the two of us walked inside together. For hours we were going from shop to shop until Emily found a shop that she liked a lot. She tried on a few dresses, asking me to judge them for her. Of course they all looked pretty on her, but I was waiting for a dress that made my jaw drop.
She came out of the dressing room with a strapless, light blue dress on. The dress was long and stopped just above the ground. It was simple, but probably the most beautiful thing I had ever seen her wear. The dress complemented her figure perfectly and made her look absolutely stunning.
"So, what do you thing of this one?" She quizzed, spinning around.
"Wow." Was all I could say.
She smiled, "That's the response I wanted!"

On the way home, we walked side by side along the street. Okay, now was my chance. I was going to confess this time.
"Hey Emily, about what I was going to say the other day..."
"Yeah, what about it?" She responded, smiling nicely at me.
"Well I was going to say that..." I took a deep breath. "I really-"
"Oh my gosh! Look how cute the puppies are!" Emily squealed, peeking into the window of the pet shop. I sighed. Another opportunity gone.

A week or so later, my friends and I decided to go out for some BBQ. They told me to bring Emily along too, so I did. We arrived at the restaurant, the smell of sizzling meat filled the air.
"I love this restaurant! It's the best!" Emily smiled and we made our way to the table.
"You've been here before?" I asked her.
She nodded and grinned, "My ex-boyfriend and I used to come here all the time."
I gave a sad smile as she walked past me and sat down.
"Emily, you remember Kai don't you?" I quizzed as I took my own seat.
"Yes, of course. It's nice to see you again!" She laughed and shook his hand.
"This is my girlfriend, Krystal." Kai announced to her; she shook Krystal's hand as well.
"And this is Chanyeol, Baekhyun and Jongdae. I don't think you've met them yet." I told her. She greeted them as they introduced themselves.
The whole night was full of laughs and enjoyment. I was having a great time and I could tell Emily was too. I suddenly remembered the confession I almost confessed. I decided to tell her now before the opportunity slips.
"Emily, I forgot to tell you before." I said.
She looked at me puzzled, "Tell me what?"
I smiled at her before breathing in heavily and looking her straight in he eyes; "Emily... I really-"
"Hey Emily, can you please pass me the salt?" Chanyeol asked from the opposite end of the table. Out of frustration, I got out of my seat and dragged Emily with me. I pulled her outside, onto the open footpath.
"What are you doing Minseok?" She questioned, looking quite shocked.
"I need to tell you!" I yelled, not realising that I just shouted at her.
She was taking aback by my sudden comment. I sighed, disappointed with myself.
"Emily. Since the moment I saw you, I have loved you. For past few weeks I have been trying to tell you. Every time I tried something would get in the way. So now I'm telling you. I love you."
She looked at me with a blank expression. I suppose she doesn't feel the same way. She blinked a couple of times before she suddenly jumped up on her tippy toes and held my cheeks, giving me a small peck on the lips. She pulled away and lowered herself back down the her original height.
"I love you too." She whispered. I beamed so brightly I think I could've blinded her. I leant down, holding the side of her face steadily and giving her a sweet kiss on the lips. Slowly I moved my lips with hers as the fireworks in my stomach exploded. We stayed like that for a few minutes before I gave her a piggy back ride home.

This was cute I have to admit. Xiumin is my EXO bias and I'm actually so happy he was requested! Kyahhhhhhhh this is adorable :):) <3
