"You know I miss you, right?" I ask Lauren, who is displayed on my phone screen. "Of course I do. It's only a week vacation. I'll be back soon," She smiled. I use my elbows to hold my upper body up as I lay on my bed and I just stare at the phone that is propped up on the headboard, "Can soon come already?"
"Y/N. It's the second day I've been here. Just be patient," Lauren giggled. "You know that I'm very impatient, Lauren." I pout. "I know, I know. The days will come by quick. I'll be back before you know it." I just watched her walk and enter a room, probably her room that she's staying in. "So... How is it there?" I ask. "The Bahamas is really hot. It's not any different from Miami though. Except it doesn't rain here that much, like in Miami."(when I was in Florida, my time there was just rain pouring. i don't really know if it rains constantly in the summer time.)
I nod, "Are you doing anything over there today?" "My mom says that I'm going to the beach with Taylor and Chris. I don't know if she is going with my dad too. But, it'll be fun," she nods, "How about you? What are you doing today?" I groan, "Absolutely nothing! My mom is still has work and my dad is probably hanging out with my uncles. Basically the usual." "Why don't you go out with your friends? Like Cameron or Paige?" She shuffles in her seat. "They haven't texted me in a while. They're probably with their family, on their own vacation as well," I pause, "Kinda sucks to be an only child right now."
"I do feel bad for you. How about, when I come back, we can go out. Just you and me." The green-eyed girl smiles. "Promise?" I then change my position to my arms crossed with my chin laying on top. "Promise." Faint yelling comes from her side of the call. "Babe, I gotta go. We're going to leave now," Her smile falters a bit. "It's fine. Go have fun. I love you." I answer. "I love you too." She puts her hands into a heart form and looks through it.

"You're weird," I laugh. "Hey!" She yells. Before she could say anything else, I hang up the call.
