I agreed to go too Brent Samuels party tonight. Don't ask me why because I don't wanna talk about it. Well of course, Taylor and Nadia didn't trust me too lay out my own outfit say they have a black romper that Taylor loaned me, a black and white polka dot jacket and a pair of black high heels. I look in the mirror and leave my hair in its natural state and walk out the door when Taylor blows her car horn. Both Nadia and Taylor look at me with open mouths and I smile at them. "What're you guys staring at?" They both give me a look when I get in the backseat, "Who are you and what did you do with Riley?" I look at them funny, "What? You laid out the outfit?" They both exchange a look, "Yeah. But we never thought you'd actually put it on." I just shrug and point to the road, "Just drive, Tay."

We got to the party an hour ago and I'm watching Taylor and Nadia dance with some guys in the middle of the living room. I'm standing here with whatever drink Nadia handed me, against the wall. "You don't look like you're having much fun." I turn my head and see Brent standing beside me, "Brent? What're you doing over here? Shouldn't you be enjoying your party? I mean why would you waste your time sitting with me? Um um where's um Simone?" He laughs at my babbling, "I came to get Simone a drink and saw you standing here all bored, I can't enjoy it if my guests aren't having a good time, because you seem pretty awesome and not like the rest of these bitches who keep hugging up on me, and Simone is over there shaking her butt like a whore." I smile and open my mouth, but can't say anything. Brent Samuels the hottest guy in our school is talking too me when his gorgeous girlfriend is standing a few feet away. "Why so nervous?" He asks with a smile and gets a drink out of the cup, "You wanna leave?" I look over at Taylor who's kissing the guy she was dancing with and Nadia is nowhere to be seen. " I can't. My ride is making out with some stranger." He laughs and hits my shoulder, "Cmon I'll take you home." I look at him like he's just smacked me, "But its your party and haven't you been drinking?" He shakes his head, "I don't drink when I'm hosting. That way I can make sure I'm sober enough too clean." I nod and look over at his girlfriend who's dancing while standing on the couch, "Shouldn't you stay here with your girlfriend?" He shakes his head and pulls my arm.out the back door, "Nah. She won't even notice I'm gone. Let's go." I go with him and get into his huge truck. Its almost as gorgeous as he is.

I wave to Brent and thank him before I get out of the car, "You're welcome." I walk to the door and he pulls out, "Did you have fun?" I turn around and my mom is standing at the door, "Mom! You scared the crap out of me." She looks at me and laughs, "I'm sorry. Who was that guy?" I look across the hall and try to avoid her asking if he's my boyfriend, "He's just a guy that drove me home because I wasn't having a good time." She nods and let's me go through the door. He's the guy I've liked since fourth grade, but I'll never stand a chance with him. He's tall, he's gorgeous, he's the star baseball player, he's dating Simone Richards and I stand no chance with him. I'm just Riley. Simple, nerdy, boring Riley.
