I can't believe that I'm going to prom with Brent Sullivan. "How much longer.....?" I ask as Taylor runs a curling iron through my hair, "Ten minutes if you'll sit still." I try to stay to still, but I'm as anxious as a kid on Christmas morning. "I can't sit still. I'm so excited." They finally manage to get my dress on, and my makeup and hair done. "Now go down there and surprise Brent. I walk down the stairs and he smiles up at me, "Wow. You look beautiful." I make my way down as mom snaps pictures, then gets some of me and him, then all of our dates and us together. "Mom enough with the pictures." She nods and let's us get into the limo.

The last slow song of the night is playing, "Thank you for taking me to prom." He looks down at me and smiles, "Thank you for coming with me." I lean closer and so does he, our lips are so close, I can feel his breath over mine, "Excuse me! What the hell do you think you're doing?!" I turn around and see Simone standing behind me, but Brent pulls me away from her and cups my cheek. He kisses me softly and smiles, "I cannot tell you how long I have waited for that."

And then as the chorus of Adele's Remedy plays. I listen to the sound of it as we drift away into our own little world and we sway with our lips together.

When the pain cuts you deep
When the night keeps you from sleeping
Just look and you will see
That I will be your remedy
When the world seems so cruel
And your heart makes you feel like a fool
I promise you will see
That I will be, I will be your remedy

I never thought I'd be standing here in the arms of this amazing guy, but here I am. In his arms with his lips on mine. And from now on He'll always be my remedy.

And from now on He'll always be my remedy
