Cas grinned toothily as he read the card that had obviously been written by Dean, but he was touched by the effort that his husband had gone to, even printing Charlotte's tiny handprint on the front in black paint. 'It matches the Impala and your daddy's wings, Charlie!'
"Thank you, Lottie-bug." Castiel kissed his daughter on her tiny nose, then mouthed another thanks to Dean, even though Charlotte didn't know what was happening.
He held his hands out to their daughter, asking for a cuddle, and when she was nestled in the crook of his arm, Cas brought out another card. This one had multi-coloured swirls of crayon, drawn by Charlie's own chubby hands.
Dean smiled widely as he read it;
Dear Dada,
Happy Father's Day
Lots of love, Charlie x
Both Cas and Charlie got wrapped in strong arms, smelling of motor oil and apple pie. All three of them sat on the worn, red sofa in the living room and eventually fell asleep, feeding off each other's warmth.
