Lissy
"Lissy! Come down for breakfast!" My mum calls from the kitchen. I get out of bed and walk down stairs, wand at hand. My cousins have been staying for the week and I know they can't resist pulling a prank on me. I walk to the table surprised to see little angels, six in a row, eating their cereal quietly not even a small talk is going on. I sigh and sit down across from the oldest, William, who is currently a 1st year at Hogwarts. "Alright, what'd you do?" I ask. He looks up at me and smiles evilly the little demon child. Just then my mum comes out of the kitchen, face burning red, left eye twitching like crazy. "Who did this?" My mother asks pointing to the kitchen where egg bombs have been splattered across the kitchen. Classic joke. My mum spots my wand. My whole family is muggles and no one else but my immediate family knows. I quickly hid it and looked at William. I reached for a piece of bacon and ate it quickly. My mum focused in on William. He was the same age as me, plus the only one out of the bunch that my mum can blame for the accident. He looked down at his cereal, the smug smile hidden under innocence. The boy could be a actor if he ever bothered to care about anyone but himself. He was so inconsiderate of others and couldn't bother to help anyone with anything. "William Christopher Kowel! Did you do this?!" My mum stomped over, her nostrils blaring fire. He looked up at my mum, whimpering like a hurt puppy, "I'm sorry aunt Bowen." He apologizes. He's taking advantage of the fact my mum can't say no to children. It's always been her weakness, it's also why she's a teacher. I moan and look at William then to my mum, "you can't be serious! You're believing him?!" I ask. My mum glares at me, must've hit a rough spot there. I lean back in my chair and stare him down. I stick my tongue out at him. I grip my wand. I could so easily turn him into the rat he is... But my mom would kill me, plus my little wizard secret would be revealed. Then it happened. It's nothing to me but it just about blew everything for my family. My cup of juice-bam- exploded. Me, the only one near it, also the only one untouched. Everyone turns to me and I push in my chair and run to my room I'm definitely going to be grounded. I look at the door waiting for my mum to burst in yelling and screaming and stuff but instead I find William. I'm almost relieve except for the fact my mum is soon to follow. "What was that at the table?" He asks me, i know he knows it was me but if I play it cool he might leave me alone. "What? That cup? It was old... Could've crumpled or broke anytime over the past few years." I say brushing it off. "But it didn't crumple it exploded." He's on to me. I look at him, "what are you suggesting?" I ask. "You're a wizard. You've always been different from all of us, but that cup has proved it, why else would you carry that stick around everywhere? You're a wizard." He explains his point and I tuck my wand under my pillow. "So that's it? You think I'm a wizard?" I fake laugh but he won't budge, you can deprive my cousin of any knowledge about our crazy family. He's always had an interest in me though, as if I was sole sort of extra terrestrial. "I don't think. I know. I've seen the mysterious flickers of light, I've seen you at night levitate objects. I'm not thick skulked like my brothers and sisters may be." He snorts. "If I tell you the truth do you promise my to tell anyone?" I ask. He nods and crosses his arms, "well here it is.... The truth is I'm a....."
