Another update for you my lovely readers!
___________________"Stop moving damn it!" Antonia snarled in frustration as she tried putting my makeup on.
What can I do? She's been poking my eyes for probably a million hours now and I was getting pretty impatient.
It's Monday and we didn't have school since today was the so called masquerade ball in which I'm being forced to attend. Tie still hasn't made any contacts with me over the past few days that I'm starting to think that he's dead. The ball was taking place at a five star hotel and starts at six in the evening. It's 3:47 in the afternoon right now and me being excited is an overstatement and I'm serious.
"There, done!" My sister groaned as she pushed my chair away from her. She slumped down on her chair and took a good look at me. "Mom would be so happy to see you like this and all grown up," my sister smiled.
I looked away from her and blinked the tears that were rising up, away.
Suddenly my phone rang causing me to jump and hit my hand on my desk and making me cry out in pain.
I took my phone and saw that it was Bridgitte calling so I answered.
"Moshi mosh!" I said in Japanese.
"What the hell does that even mean?" Bridgitte asked. "Anyways, can I come over and do your make up?" She completely cut me off. Nice. Note the sarcasm.
I smiled sheepishly knowing that she won't even see me do it and said, "Oh my sister already did it."
Bridgitte said some colourful words over the phone before hanging up and calling me again.
"Why'd you hand hang up?" I asked when I answered the call.
"Sorry I accidently touched it," she said sheepishly.
"Very Bridgitte of you," I laughed.
Again, I was ignored. Wow I'm hurt. "Anyways, you better not be wearing those damn glasses or I swear I'm going to kill you and break that glasses of yours do you understand, missy? If you do, then I'll see you in 5:40," then she hung up just like that.
What a nice friend she is. Sometimes I think how we even became bestfriends.
"Let's do your hair now," Antonia said.
-
-
-"Ooh lala! Look at you! So hot! So sexy!" Bridgitte exclaimed as she looked me up and down.
"Look who's talking!" I smiled.
We were both wearing our masks and no I am not planning on taking it off.
"So, do you have a date?" I asked Bridgitte just as she scoffed.
"Psshhh, no; which reminds me, we have to stop by somewhere, do you mind coming with me there before the ball?"
"No I don't mind. Where is this place anyways?"
"Downtown," she answered casually.
I shrugged and walked towards the floor length mirror so that I could fix any out of place hair or something.
Dress and accessories, check! My silver ankle strap heels, check! Mask on, check! Hair mistakes, none! By the way, my hair is curled and braided into three braids and pinned up my head elegantly.
"You know what, can you move over? Imma just see if I still look hotter than you," Bridgitte joked as she playfully pushed me aside.
I scoffed in mock disbelief before pushing her back just as playfully.
We both started laughing and that was when I took in what she was wearing. Her beautiful goddess dress, gold and white mask, beautiful natural eyeshadow, her accessories, her gold heels and finally her simple straightened hair.
"Both of you, leave already!" Antonia yelled all annoyed.
Bridgitte smirked towards her. "You're just jealous because you're not part of the ball," she retorted.
Antonia gasped. "Excuse me? That is a lame butt ball and I ain't up to that lame damn thing!" She defended quickly. Probably too quickly for me to notice that she was indeed jealous.
Oh sister...-
-
-"Well Sahara, this is all I can do for you," Bridgitte smiled warmly as she pushed the small of my back towards the elevator.
What is this all about? People were looking for God's sake! They're probably wondering why we're both dressed like we were going on red carpet.
"What do you--"
"Just get in! I wanna go have some fun already! I'll meet you at the ball later ok?" She said as she pushed me in the elevator forcefully.
"Ok! Ok! No need to get violent! But, are you sure that I'm safe? After all I'm assuming that I'm meeting someone right?" I asked worriedly.
Bridgitte snickered before turning her back on me and leaving.
I gasped. I was ignored for the what? 5th time? What a very good friend.
The door closed right after and I simply shook my head at her and leaned on one of the elevator walls thinking of what is going on. I still have no idea though. I'm confused. And where am I heading anyways? Bridgitte didn't really tell me anything.
After a couple of seconds, the elevator made a 'ding' sound and so the elevator doors opened.
A guy's back was faced towards me and he slowly turned around with a sign that says, 'keep going up'.
Then, the elevator doors closed again.
Was that a message for me or for someone else? Oh God please let it be a message for me. It would be so embarrassing if it wasn't.
After another couple of seconds, it happened again. A different guy with a different sign that said, 'The rooftop is where he awaits'.
He? I'm meeting with a guy? Please Bridgitte, tell me you didn't match me with a random guy! I swear I will kill her if she did. But wait, if I knew the guy, then who would it be?
I would so totally feel stupid if I knew the guy yet I didn't even get a hint. But then again, there was no hint.
When the elevator stopped at the rooftop floor, I climbed down and walked towards the door leading to what I assume is the outside.
I took a deep breath in and out before placing my hand on the door knob and twisting it to reveal who and what awaited me outside.
Bright.
It was bright out here for some reason and I can't see anything at all
When I felt the lights dim a little, I opened my eyes totally unprepared for the scene in front of me and unprepared to see who actually made the effort to do this!
To say I was shocked was an understatement. I was more than shocked actually!
