I wish for more wishes

I wish they'd come true

I wish for courage

I wish for hugs, too.

I wish you'd come back

I wish for less tears

I wish I was stronger

I wish you were here.

I wish we were kind

I wish I was more than art

I wish we had minds

I wish we had hearts.

I wish for so very many things

But who knows -

Maybe your wish is that

Mine won't come true.
