"A what lord?"
"Time lord."
"And we're where?"
"The TARDIS. Stands for time and relative dimension in space. And yes, it's bigger on the inside," he said.
"So we're in space?"
"No, we're in Liverpool."
"What'd you say your name was?"
"I'm the Doctor."
"Doctor who?" I said.
"Just the Doctor."
"Just the Doctor?" I lifted myself up with a lot of effort. I stood up and started to fall over. The Doctor caught me.
"It's okay. I got you. Are you feeling okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine!" I pushed him away, certain that I could walk on my own. I slowly started to slide. I grabbed the large control panel in the TARDIS. I hit a button and the TARDIS shook, throwing me into the Doctor.
"Great!" he said. He pushed me aside and ran to the control panel. I fell to the floor.
"OW!"
"Sorry!" He flipped different switches and pressed buttons until the TARDIS stopped shaking.
The Doctor then ran to me. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to push you down!" He helped me up. My mind was blank. I couldn't focus on anything.
I was no longer unable to stand on my own. I couldn't even move my legs or arms. "Are you okay?"
"No. I-I can't move."
He walked around me. He put his hand under his chin and examined me up and down. It slightly made me uncomfortable, but I ignored that. The Doctor walked towards the control panel, and I followed behind.
Suddenly, I collapsed. "Are you okay?!"
"I feel like I'm having a heart attack!!" I said freaking out. He pulled out a strange screwdriver like thing from his pocket. He hit a button and the machine made a pulsing sound and a green light appeared on the top.
"This is my sonic screwdriver." I continued to breathe heavily as my heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest.
"My heart is racing."
"Because it's trying to work as two!" He ran around the TARDIS talking to himself indistinctly.
"What's wrong with me?!" He walked back to me and sat down.
"The robosquito bit me. Then it bit you and injected my blood into yours. Where I'm an alien, the blood didn't react well. Your heart is trying to pump my blood around through your vascular system. I have two hearts so my blood needs to hearts to pump it. Your blood is slowly dissolving away. So this is very, very bad."
"You have two hearts?"
"I give you the horrible news that your vascular system is messing up and all you care about is the fact I have two hearts?! You humans. But yes I do."
"I just- AHHH!" I squinted my eyes shut. The pain was unbearable. "Doctor," I said when the pain subsided, "am I going to die?"
"Noo. Oh no. You're strong. You'll be fine." He didn't sound very sincere.
"Doctor! Tell the truth. Am. I. Going. To. Die?"
"I'm sorry."
