Moments later he was pulling me inside the bigger-on-the-inside box. He led me to the middle of the room to the main control panel. "Okay, stand up straight and remain completely still," he said.
"Uh, okay?"
He took out his screwdriver and turned it on. He moved it around in front of me, then circled me with it.
"Doctor, what's the point of-"
"Hush! I'm trying to concentrate!"
Seconds ticked by...minutes...finally... "AHA!" the Doctor yelled. I jumped. "You're so jumpy!"
"What is it? What's wrong?"
"Well, for starters, you have two hearts. And I'm not sure, but I think you might have the ability to regenerate and not grow old, but besides that, you've earned yourself a spot in the TARDIS!" He seemed excited, but somewhat confused at the same time.
"What?"
"The mosquito bit you, putting my blood into yours. Time lord DNA is in your blood. That made you change into a time lord. Well, time lady..." He kept talking, but I couldn't focus on what he was saying.
"Ashling!" He snapped his fingers in front if my face.
"Huh? What? Sorry. I just can't exactly process this...How am I not dead?"
"Long story for a different time..."
"Okay? Well, what do I do now?"
"Come with me!"
"But...I-I can't."
"Sure you can! It's easy! Watch!" He flipped a switch, and suddenly the TARDIS jerked.
"Wait, no!" I managed to shout before I was thrown off my feet.
"You better hold on to something!"
"Yeah. You could've told me that earlier!"
The TARDIS jerked and shook around for about a minute. Suddenly, it slammed to the ground and the Doctor came over to where I was on the ground. He reached his hand down and I grabbed it. He pulled me up.
"Where are we?"
He gestured to the doors. I slowly made my way to them and pushed them open. It was absolutely beautiful. It was land made of nothing but ice. "The ice lands of Paris," the Doctor said from right behind me.
"But Paris doesn't have ice lands?"
"Well, the city doesn't, but the planet does."
"There's a planet called Paris?!"
"Yep! Ever since the year 3001."
"The year 3001..." I trailed off. "What year are we in then?!"
"3025."
"Of course we are."
"Now, let's go!" He grabbed my hand and started pulling me along with him.
"Go where?"
"I don't know!"
We slid through the ice lands for a while. Suddenly, the Doctor spoke up. "This is strange..."
"What is?"
"There's no one here. There's usually tourists and locals buzzing about."
"There's a man over there!" I said pointing in the direction of a man. We ran over to him. He was stocky and had just a thin layer of gray hair on the top of his head.
"Excuse me, sir, why is there barely anyone on this part of Paris?" the Doctor asked politely.
The man looked at us like we were crazy then chuckled. "This planet hasn't been called Paris since the Acheron Invasion of 3032."
"Wait what year is this?!"
"Are you daft? It's 3112."
"What is this planet now then? Forgive my thickness. I haven't been in this galaxy in ages."
The man gave us a skeptical look then finally answered. "It's Acheron delta.2. Ever since the Acheronians invaded in 3032 looking for a planet with better planet, this place has gone by that name. Paris is an obsolete name nowadays," the man said.
"Okay thank you for the help, sir." The Doctor shook his hand then grabbed me and pulled me to the side. "Are you ready for an adventure?"
"Of course I am!" I said with a smile.
