The Life of an Akatsuki Member.

Chapter 2

                                                                            I was quiet as I lean against a building waiting for my students we were going on a C-ranked mission today. It was a simple mission, Sadly I didn't know what awaited me. I see my students who where lightly packed and then we head out of the village and I silently hear a small 'ping' as the giant green gates close behind us. We were to meet our client in Sunagrake and then escort him to the Land of the Snow. I was slightly tense maybe even afraid, But I kept myself focused on the mission ahead of us.

*3 hours Later*

       Now I was being careful, We had gotten the client from Sunagrakue, His name I didn't not know he didn't speak much. He did look familiar though. I watch as my students look around quietly as we get only an hour or so from the docks that would take us to the land of snow. I smirk softly looking around and then hear the escort speak up " So Atsushi of the snow, huh?" I freeze and turn around glaring at the man, My students give me quizzical glances and I say calmly"I don't by that name anymore, just atsushi." He looks at me and say" Well that's inconvenient. I did do some research on who was protecting me and I found out your listed high in the bingo books as Atsushi of the snow. Unless your someone else?" He gives me a sly sneer.

"What Does He Mean Sensei?" Akio asks with a raised eyebrow.

                                                       I tense slightly and say" I wouldn't concern yourself about who I am, Sir." I glare daggers at him and he just simply nods with a small chuckle and I keep quiet as my students as me questions the rest of the ways till we reach the docks. I look at them quietly and shake my head indicating I wasn't going to say anything before poofing into smoke and appearing into my cabin. I sit on my bed and sigh taking off my jounin vest and twisting and turn the black and silver crystal shard necklace between my fingers and looking at it silently. It was one thing that reminded me most of being an Akatsuki member.

                                                        I sigh another flashback coming into my mind as I lay on my back thinking.

---Flash Back---

                          " Don't start acting weak on me Atsushi!" My best friend, Asami smiles at me with a wink as we fight off some sound ninja.

Stupid Orochimaru always trying to get back at the akatsuki. I snort as I easily and skillfully kill off our attackers, I was swift and  killed them swiftly being merciful that day. Though as I was taking down the enemy I didn't notice the sound ninaj sneaking up behind Asami. I turn around just in time to watch him stab her through her chest and her strangled scream. With lightning speed I slit his throat and pick up Asami and disappear from the scene into the forest a distance away and hold her close and say" It's alright I'll get you help,Asami." She looks up at me and smiles and whispers" No....... I'm going to die.......Atsushi..." I look down at her with a sorrow in my eyes as she says" Here....Take This... Know that.... I always love you..." She breathes as she shoves a warm piece of metal into my hand and then feel her body go limp. " ASAMI! Wake up! Please!Please!"I yell out in frustration as a seldom tear treks its way down my face.

     I pinch the bridge of my nose and sigh in frustration as I fiddle with the necklace further before getting up to go check on my students and our client. Putting my jounin vest back on and walking out to see Chie about to strangle Akio, The client watching in amusment. I watch silently before I watch the client come over to talk to me and tense.
