The mountain is steep and unbelievably dark. I still feel Henry by my side as we approach the entrance. I shift back into witch form. I am getting tired of all this shifting shit. Henry gives me a summary of our plan and I hold my hands behind my back. He secures them there as we proceed to Sugars office.
"Well what do we have here?" Sugar smiles. "Welcome home my daughter."
Not a very warm one. I scowl at her and she pouts.
"Found her snooping outside. Thought you would like to see her." Sugar smiles again at Henry and pokes his nose as if to say he thought right. I gag.
"Too bad. That means I dont need you anymore." A guard comes out from a dark corner and points his gun at Henry. I take the gun out of Henrys holister and shoot Sugar and then the guard.
I turn and see Henry collaps on the ground. I run to his side.
"Rose." He whispers.
"Henry." The soldiers come running in. I forgot they were here for back up.
"I trusted you. I thought you wouldn't let this happen to me too." He stugles for breath, then takes his last one. I watch the life leave his eyes.
"Henry! Henry I didn't mean to! Please come back! COME BACK!" I scream but I know he is dead. Tears roll down my face and I feel like Im drowning in them.
"Help me carry him back!" I yell to the soldiers.
They glair at me and pick him up. They carry him out the door and as Im about to leave the door slams in my face. No!
I scream. I scream because Im locked in. I scream because Henry is dead. I scream because it wasn't me. I scream because I let this happen again.
I kick the door yelling for Henry. Yelling for him to come back. But nobody comes. No body opens the door. Im left in a room with no way out, shacking it with every blood curtiling scream that escapes me.
