Jayden's POV
The second I step foot on the bus, everyone starts to yell at me. They'd say things like, "FAG!" Or, "EMO!" Or, "Drink bleach!" Or, "GO KILL YOURSELF!" I usually just ignore them but it's really hard. Samantha doesn't even do anything about it. Neither does the bus driver. But, there was one girl. Her name was Alayna. She had light blue hair with highlights of black. She always wore her favorite red sweater. She had Red Tights on with blue stripes. She had a snakebite piercing in her mouth. She would always yell at everyone for calling me those things and telling me to you know what. She is in tenth grade but I'm glad she still stands up for me.Samantha's POV
Jayden really needs to man up. He shouldn't need my help or anyone else's. He needs to start dealing with things himself. That's why I always stay out of the way when the kids yell at Jayden. I just don't want to get myself In trouble. "Shut up!" I hear Jayden yell. I look up and the kids start to throw books at him. I still stay out and find my seat next to my friend, Lola Farmer. Suddenly, I hear ripping of paper. It's Jayden. Ripping up on of the books that the kids threw at him. Next time, I really need to stand up for my step brother.Jayden's POV
"Jayden!" Yells the bus driver, Mr. Fitz. "Yes?" I say back to him. "Why was you ripping up those pages?" He asks. "They threw them at me." I say back to him. "Who?" Says Mr. Fitz. "Everyone except Alayna and the ones in the very back." I say with a squeak. My voice cracked again. The kids start to laugh at me. Once again, here is Alayna standing up for me. "Guys, you had to go through it also." She says to the kids. "Can't we all just get along?" She says with a tear in her eye. The bus starts to move. Everyone started to laugh at her for saying that. "YOU WIMP!" One of them says. "Is you gonna stand up for little crybaby back there?" One of them says to me. "Shut up!" I say to that person, "she is not a crybaby. She is actually nice unlike you." "Is baby Jayden gonna cry like Alayna?" Says that same person, "at least she's a girl." "F**k you." I whisper to myself. I take a high jump toward him. With my fists, ready to fight.Samantha's POV
"Dang!" Says Lola, "Are you seeing this, Sam?"
"No. What's happening?" I ask Lola. I take my earbuds out and look behind me. I see Jayden on top of some kid with people trying to pull him off. Mr. Fitz stops the bus to go break up the fight. I go back to help pull Jayden off. We eventually get him off and lay him on the ground. Jayden has blood all over his fists and his shirt. The high schooler he beat up was knocked out with blood all over his face and the floor around him. Jayden starts to cry. I go comfort him.Jayden's POV
Whoa. What just happened? I feel......... a lot better. What is it? "Jayden." Says Samantha, "Why did you do that?" "Do what?" I ask with curiosity. "Beat Trevor up." She says. "Oh yeah, I feel a lot better after doing that." I say with joy. I see Alayna come running towards me. Her eyeshadow streaming down her face. "Jay." She says to me, "i'm so sorry about those nasty things he said to you." "It's fine, Alayna." I say back to her in a calming voice, "I feel better now." "What do you mean?" She asks. "It just felt good to do that. All these years of him saying things. Since I went emo, a lot of people have been saying bad things about me. But he was the worst." I say to her. I hear sirens coming towards us. Ambulances. The medics come to get Trevor and I. They take me just to see if I'm hurt. Trevor has barely woken up yet. I wonder if I concussed him. If I did, that would be great. Those were the best 45 seconds of my life.Authors note,
722!!! That's a new record for me. I'm kinda tired and will update tomorrow night. See what happens when Jayden arrives to the hospital.
