The two boys finished their food quickly. Slurping noises could be heard from them both as they licked and sucked the sauce from their fingers.

"Mmm mmm! That was good as shit!" Evan exclaimed between finger licking.

"I know right? Thats why I always order the wings."

"We're gonna have to come back to this place again so I can eat some more of those fucking wings, man!"

"Alright! Im definitely down."

Kelly came over and collected their dirty dishes.

"Enjoy the food, guys?"

"'Course, Kel!"

"Hell yea! Those wings are like, heaven!" Evan sounded like an excited little kid.

"Thats what we're shooting for! Glad you enjoyed them!"

She took the dirty plates to the back. Evan excused himself to wash his hands in the bathroom. Tyler saw Kelly quickly come back with a devilish smirk.

"Soooo?" She asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

"Soooo?"

"Did you tell him?"

"Tell him what?"

She playfully pushed his shoulder with a scoff.

"You know what, you idiot!"

"Oh yea! That.. Uh.. N-no.."

"Aww, why not?"

"I-I dunno.. I.. Im just.. Im scared, Kel. What if he rejects me? I dont wanna lose my best friend because of my stupid feelings.."

"Aww, Ty. Theyre not stupid feelings. And hes definitely NOT gonna reject you."

"How do you know?"

"Because.. I see the way you two acted around each other. Flirting, giggling like a couple of school girls, playing footsies. You two flirt more than you and Craig did and you were actually dating. Plus, I saw the way he looked at you while you were too busy stuffing your face." She gave a wink at the last part.

"Huh? How did he look at me??"

Tylers voice was filled with hope and wonder. Kelly looked around to make sure Evan wasnt back yet.

"Lets just say he looked at you the way you would look at him."

Tyler was confused at first until it hit him. But before he could speak, Evan returned with clean hands and a smile. Kelly quickly played it off by handing them the check.

"Ill be right back to pick it up." She started walking away then turned around and gave Tyler a quick wink, Tyler biting his lip from what he just possibly found out.

"Ty? You ok?"

Tyler didnt realize he drifted off and snapped back to reality. (Oop, there goes gravity. Im sorry,,,)

"O-oh yea! Im fine, Im fine. Just thinking.."

"Ok, weirdo. Im paying for the check ok?"

"Nah, you dont have to do that. Lemme pay."

"I already said I was gonna pay, so dont worry about it man."

"Alright, if you say so."

Kelly returned and took the check money, giving them both a big smile as they got up to leave.

"Thanks guys! Have an amazing day! Hope to see you two again!"

"See ya, Kel!"

"Bye Kelly! Ill most def be back for those wings!"

Both boys waved at her as she waved back. They hopped back into Tylers truck, buckling their seat belts before driving back home.

One thing was stuck in Tylers mind the whole car ride. Was what Kelly said actually true? Maybe it was. All he knew was that he needed to find out, one way or another..
