A Demon's Love (Shadow Heart's POV)

Battle for Bassy

My head turned and I let out a groan, face palming myself.

"No. Leave. Please. You annoy the hell out of me." I rolled my eyes as he came closer. He swayed his hips and pointed at Sebastian.

"I just wanted to come over and see my Bassy!" I couldn't take it anymore. I turned and faced him letting out a loud and deep growl.

"How is he YOURS if he constantly keeps telling you to go away or that your annoying him? Hmm?!" I raised an eyebrow. Grell fell silent for a while, then he smiled.

"He's just playing hard to get, darling!" I face palmed myself. God, he's such an idiot!!! Grell looked up at Sebastian. Sebastian shook his head.

"I am not playing hard to get. I'm literally trying to get away from you!" He growled. Grell laughed.

"Oh, your so funny darling!" I lowered my voice so only Sebastian could hear me.

"Can I please kill him?!" Sebastian groaned, told Grell to shut up and replied in a whisper. "No, because William will try to get my cinematic records like Grell has tried many of times before." I nodded. Grell looked at me.

"Hey! No making goo-goo eyes at Bassy!" I rolled my eyes and clicked my tongue. "I wasn't flirting with him, Grell." Grell rolled his eyes then stared at me and pointed.

"What the hell is up with your ears?!" My what? Oh shit... My ears were twitching like crazy. "Fuck!" I cover my ears, and Grell chuckles at me.

Sebastian walks up to Grell, grabs him by his neck and lifts him up. "Grell, quit. Your making the young lady uncomfortable and as a butler, it is my job to make sure she is comfortable. Now piss off!" I listen to what Sebatian said and blushed. H-he just called me a Young Lady? He's so kind... I felt my face get a bit warm. Grell gave him a grin that made me feel uncomfortable.

"Alright, I'll leave.... But not without a goodbye, darling!" Suddenly there was a splatter of blood, making my eyes widen.

"Sebastian!!!" My eyes teared up and my lip quivered when I heard him yell in pain.

Grell's smile seemed to have grown, showing off his sharp teeth. I tried to move to help, but my body wouldn't allow it. Sebastian let go of Grell and jumped back, slurring more blood on the grass. "Not without a damned goodbye!" The grim reaper smirked and charged for the butler. No! I finally moved, but I partly regret doing so as I shoved the butler away.

"GAH-Ah!" I felt a strong sharp pain go through me, as his sythe went straight through my stomach. He groaned, "Oh, bother..." I coughed up a small bit of blood, and watched it splatter on his red jacket.

"Shadow!" I slowly turned my head to Sebastian, at least I think it was him. He had a dark mist surrounding his body, making a black aura. And his eyes.... They were fuchsia. Like a demon's eyes... I thought.

"Grell... You better say your prayers, because this demon, is NOT happy." He slowly made his was closer.

"U-uh... Bassy? Y-your scaring me..." I felt a sudden release on my stomach and fell to the ground. I coughed a couple times, gripping my stomach where I was impaled. I looked up and saw the redhead back into a tree, his legs shaking, his eyes filled with horror.

"B-Bassy?"

I watched as black feathers fell to the ground from the demon, as he manifested. "Grell, I'm sure you don't mind dying if I killed you... Would you?" He got closer and black wings sprouted from his back. A raven demon...

"O-of course n-not, Bassy!" He did mind. I could tell in the sound of his voice as it shook. I stood and took a step forward, only to fall and cough up more blood.

"Shadow, stay down..." He turned his head to face the reaper. "Grell, it's time to say goodbye..." His voice was deep and demonic, making me shiver, but not from fear. It was from something else.

"Bas-GAH!" I watched as the demon dig his claws into the reaper's neck, making him cough up a small amount of blood. Then he lifted his head, smiling I gripped my stomach and looked away.

"Know t-that I will always l-love you...... Bassy...." those were the last words he spoke, before his body went limp. I slowly stood up, shaking a bit, and took a step. I felt uneasy in my almost healed stomach. "Hrk!" I turned my head away, and vomited blood. I coughed a couple times, then wiped some blood from my lips away. I look back up at the demon, only to see him in his human butler form. He let the body drop.

"Like I give a damn about you fucking reaper..." He turned his head to me. I gave him a small smile, before I felt myself fall. I didn't feel the impact of the ground, and I opened my eyes slightly to see the butler. I looked at his face, then into the sky.

"H-heh.... I feel so tired all of a s-sudden..." My eyelids began to feel heavy. Sebastian frowned, glaring at me.

"Don't you die on me." He sounded calm, but I knew he was scared. "I wonder what it feels like to die..." I began to think of my parents, who were in a fordibben relationship. A demon with a grim reaper. But they died in a war when I was a young demon child. I looked into his eyes. "What do you think death feels like?" I tilted my head a little, my ears were limp and my skin was paler than usual.

"Peaceful, I guess..." He sighed. I started to think of what happens after death. Will I see my parents once more? Or will I sleep in a forever period of darkness. I shook and began to cry.

"I-I don't want t-to die.... Not y-yet... A-and not like t-this..." I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I began to stand, and he supported me. "I know that..." He gave me a worried smile. I leaned onto him, and I felt my ear twitch and rub against his cheek. My ears slowly perked up, as the sound of a wolf howling filled the air, riding along the wind.

I closed my eyes and inhaled as the wind pasted by, with the song of a wolf mixed with it. A small blue flame formed on the rims of the wound and slowly burned, and when it faded away, nothing was there. It looked like I wasn't wounded at all. I turned my head and looked at Sebastian, who's eyes were filled with awe. Then I glaced over at the limp body of the grim reaper, making me shudder.

Best not get on THIS demon's bad side... I thought. The butler stays silent. I wanted to thank him, and I did in the way I knew best.
