MOONLIGHT NINJA CHAPTER 65
It hurt. It terribly hurt.
If she thought that the pain she felt when she took ahold of the Houjian was too much, the pain of Jinlong's spirit entering her body was horrible. Nothing could compare to it – the pain of being burned inside and out was a far dim comparison.
She was levitated in the air as she twisted and turn; trying to escape the tremendous pang that seared her from deep down of her body to the surface of her skin. Her flesh stung; her insides were being ripped apart; her eyes cried blood; her nose dripping convulsively; her mouth was uncontrollably disgorging blood; and her ears were deaf due to the crimson essence escaping from their holes. She had no idea how long her body endured the unspeakable pain but, eventually, her vision turned from hazy to utter darkness.
Lord Hsien Mao Dong's mouth went agape as he stared at the girl consumed by the infernal flame and agonizing pain. His jaw tightened in jealousy and his heart flaming with wrath. How dare she took Jinlong's power just like that when he had worked so hard and waited several years. He stood and with ire-filled shaking body, he brandished his double-edged sword and darted to Yan Mei Ling's direction. "Undeserving bitch!"
He jumped over the girl's levitating body, gesturing to hack her body in two when his sword's steel melted like an ice near a fire. He drifted down in shock. He clenched his fist, raised his arm and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Demon Lord, lend me your power."
A crack of vicious thunder was heard and a gloomy shadow pervaded the entire place. His body, who had grown in size a while ago, increased immensely to the width and height of a raging behemoth. His appearance changed from a giant version of himself turned to a monstrous giant with fiendish red eyes and protruding incisors extending below his lower lip. He had become excessively muscular with stone slab chests and thick veins snaking around his body; his thighs were enormous resembling that of the tree's trunks and; his hands were so huge that it seemed that they could grip the columns of the room without difficulty. His flesh transmogrified from tawny brown color to an eerie greyish brown. "Roar!!!"
The room shook violently as Lord Hsien Mao Dong's savage voice resonated. He jumped again and swung his elbows down to strike down his inert opponent. He and the girl landed on the ground but he pushed against her body to bury her deeper. He peered down the girl and cackled hysterically while he watched the flames slowly ebbing from her body. He raised and slammed his other foot repeatedly at her still unconscious body. "How dare you take what rightfully belongs to me?"
His voice was filled with acrimony as he continued, "You don't know what I've been through just to get my hands on Houjian and you get Jinlong's power just like that? Just like that?" His grotesque face was taut with indignation. "What is so special about a weak girl like you? I am stronger and I can easily kill you. In all aspects, I deserve to be the Dragon Warrior!" His arms began to tremble and, gradually, his hand extended into a narrow shape until it transformed into the head of a dagger-axe.
Yan Mei Ling finally gained consciousness and chuckled – there was still blood sputtering from her mouth. "There is nothing special about me but it doesn't mean that you are stronger than me." She gazed hard into his diabolical eyes and declared, "You are greedy and selfish. You sold your soul to the devil because deep inside your heart, if you still have one, you know that you will never be the Dragon Warrior." A light erupted from her, flinging the egregious lord away. She levitated and hit the ground in standing position. She clenched her palm tightly around the hilt of the Houjian, a white luminescent energy smoldering around her.
Lord Hsien Mao Dong ran to Yan Mei Ling's direction to attack her but she quickly met his weapon with the Houjian's blade. His arms trembled from the force. When he looked into the eyes of the girl, he could see flashes of thin red haze swirling inside her irises. He realized that he was not fighting the girl alone.
