This is super fun as a craft and musical activity, and it's great for people of all ages and ability.
You will need-
A cardboard box - I recommend a tissue box so you can use the cutout hole. But if not a small box that can be sealed will work fine.
An empty kitchen roll tube. (toilet roll tubes are too short and don't work properly)
A pair of scissors. (Small children will require a grown ups help with this)
A small rectangular piece of card
Some elastic bands.
Clear tape
(Paint and other decorating tools such as stickers /glitter glue optional.)
How too!!!
Use the scissors to cut out a square in the front of the small box. This square works best when it takes up 3/4 of the front. In the top of the box cut a hole to the same shape/size as the kitchen tube.
1cm up the tube cut a small sideways line that you can use too slot the small sideways piece of card through. Push the tube through the open hole at the front of the box. Once the rectangular piece of card reaches the base piece of inner box underneath the tube hole. Use tape to secure. (This connects handle to base)
Use the elastic bands put two each side of the handle long way along the box over the cut out hole. At the back of the box place a piece of tape at the top and bottom to secure the bands in place.
Now the main guitar is done!
However if you wish/ have the tools you can decorate it to make it look even better!!! You can add paint, glitter, buttons and lots of other pretty items.
