CAMERON set down her phone with an annoyed sigh. Ever since the rumor had spread from those horrible manips, Sebastian made it his job to torture her on social media. She would never tell anyone but she really did cherish the moments she and Sebastian had time to speak. With their varying schedules and rare moments of free spare time, it made it hard for Cam to communicate with the older man freely without it being all business.
Her thoughts were cut by the ringtone of her phone, alerting her that someone was calling. She answered blindly, annoyance digging into her mind already.
"What."
"Is that any way to speak to your boyfriend, honey bear?" Sebastian's deep voice sounded in her ear and she rolled her eyes with a faint smile.
"If my 'boyfriend' is just a ploy for some dumb tabloid to be picked up by middle aged moms everywhere, yes. That is the way to speak to him."
Sebastian's melodic and deep laugh sounded leaving a soothing feeling in Cam's veins. She loved his laugh and the warmth it spread inside her, but would never tell him that.
"But really, what do you want Seabass?" She struggled to remain serious, the effect Sebastian had on her made her want to act childish.
"Well since you're 'inside New York' and I'm inside New York, I figured maybe for a day, we could be inside New York together?" Sebastian sounded hopeful, or at least that's what Cam thought.
She sucked in a breath, trying to calm the parade of thoughts running through her scattered mind. All the events and little bits of her schedule were cramming together so she just said the first thing that came to her mind.
"I'd love you to be inside me!"
A look of horror spread across her face and she froze momentarily, cursing whatever force of karma or higher power just made her say something as idiotic as that. The silence from the other side of the line made her think Sebastian had hung up, which she wouldn't blame him for but hurt her heart a little bit.
Suddenly, a strained voice, choking back laughter, responded as smoothly as possible, "I'm sure that would be an experience but I have a girlfriend."
All the blood in her body shot up to her cheeks and she turned a bright, cliche, red. Her hand trembled a bit and she started stammering, "N-no! I didn't mean it like that! I just had a total brain malfunction I meant- shit, uh, I meant I want to be inside New York with you. I don't want you in me!"
Sebastian's laugh grew louder and he was gasping for breath a bit, "So you don't want me inside of you? That's a shame."
Cameron clenched her jaw and blew a piece of hair out of her face in contempt, "Fuck off. It's not funny."
"It's actually very funny, I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Thank you for that experience."
Cameron sighed and ran her hand down her face, trying to ignore the flares of embarrassment still sparking up. "So do you want to hang out or not? Because I'm perfectly fine with hanging up on you."
"Don't be like that, Cam. We all have slip ups sometimes, it's fine. And yes, I would love to hang out with you. Let's say tomorrow at noon-ish, okay? We can get lunch."
A faint smile spread on Cam's face and she nodded, despite the fact he couldn't see her. "Lunch. Okay! See you then, Seabass."
"See you then, Cam."
